Spare Change for Candy

August 2, 2013

Candy, boy I loved candy as a little girl.  I remember when I would see you, you would always give me and the grandkids the spare change in your pocket.  I would go right to Hardesty Store and buy candy. It was 5 cent candy then and not the "penny candy" that my mom would talk about that they brought as kids.  It's funny how you remember the smallest and simplest things as a kid.

I remember the spare change that you would dig into you pockets and give to me and that made me so happy!  I miss you and may you rest in peace.

Love,

Katina

MY SWEET FATHER

October 9, 2011

DAD, WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL ATTENDING SCHOOL IT WAS YOU WHO GAVE ME A DOLLAR OR TWO DOLLARS TO GO ON A CLASS TRIP.IT MEANT SO MUCH TO ME BECAUSE THAT DOLLAR FELT LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS BECAUSE IT WAS ALL THAT YOU HAD AND YOU GAVE IT TO ME FROM YOUR HEART. THE LESSON THAT I LEARNED FROM YOU IS THAT ONE MUST LEARN HOW TO MAKE MONEY WORK FOR THEM NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HAVE OR DON'T HAVE.I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU DAD REST IN PEACE WITH GOD FOR NOW.
