Remarks: Deacon Howell was a faithful member and served on the Deacon Board of many years at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Thomas was a loyal employee at Dutch’s Automotive for 47 years and Langdale Motors for 5 years until his retirement.

Mr. Howell was an active and devoted member of the Masonic Lodge #876.

He was the son of the late Henry and Minnie Howell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Philpotts Howell; three sisters, Heneritta and Regina Howell and China Dukes; three brothers, Williams, Ray and Glenn Howell. 

Relatives: two daughters, Angela McCray, Tracy Howell, Lanett, AL; three sons, Randy Howell, McDonough, GA, Jefferson(LaShonda)Howell, Sandy Springs, GA, and Danny(Rachel)Howell, Lanett, AL; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; six brothers, Willie(Shirley)Howell, Charles(Rose)Howell, Atlanta, GA, JamesHowell, Valley, AL; Donnie Howell, Lanett, AL, Charlie (Phylis)Howell, West Point, GA, Alton Howell, LaGrange, GA; five sisters, Mary Mitchell, Katheryn Howell, Atlanta, GA, Maggie(Donald)Bassett, Jonesboro, GA, Elaine(Raymond)Thomas, Lanett, AL, Vickey(Richard)Harris, Douglasville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
