Sgt. Thomas R. Bagosy, 25, died Monday, May 10, 2010, aboard Camp Lejeune, NC, where he was stationed and served his country proudly as a United States Marine. He joined the Marine Corps on June 8, 2004, and was trained as an automotive organizational mechanic. He was assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command in 2008. He served a tour in Iraq from September 2006- April 2007 and a tour in Afghanistan from June- November 2009. 

His decorations include two Combat Action Ribbons, a Navy Unit Commendation, a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal, an Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons and a NATO Medal – International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) Afghanistan.

Tom attended Glasgow High School where he was involved in athletics and graduated in 2002. He married and welcomed his first child in 2005 and another in 2008. He was a proud and loving husband and father, a very loved son and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Tom is survived by his wife Katie, son Nathan, daughter Avery, parents Robert Bagosy and Iris Proffitt Bagosy of Cumming, GA, brother Mike Bagosy of Wilmington, DE, brother Dave Bagosy of Newark, DE, sister Stacy Regan of Springfield, PA, sister Kristen Orndorf of Reding, PA, grandparents Joseph and Elizabeth of Upper Darby, PA.
