Thomas Teasley, 81, passed away unexpectantly on Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home in Bahama, NC. Thomas grew up in Bahama and then made his home in Creedmoor with his late wife of 59 years, Joy (JoAnn) Brogden Teasley.
He was the son of the late Luther and Julia Teasley and was a retired engineering supervisor for the NC State Highway Commission. He was also a lifetime farmer and enjoyed being outside and working with the land. Thomas was a lover of jokes and of his own made up expressions. He spent lots of time with his three grandsons and inquired every day about their daily activities. He was very proud of them and loved them very much.
Thomas is survived by his daughter Vickie Preddy and her husband, Jeff , his three grandsons, Harrison, Carter and Jackson Preddy and one sister, Frances Bowles of Durham.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy and their son and his best friend, Thomas Jr. (Tommy), his brothers Odie, Edwin, Wallace, Roy Garland (RG) and one sister, Doris.
Services will be private as to adhere to the wishes of the deceased. Visitation is welcome at the home of Vickie and Jeff Preddy.

To the Teasley family, Thomas will always hold a special place in my thoughts; he was always playing jokes on me. One time, he placed artificial bunches of flowers in my yard while I was on vacation and then told me that he saw a large van dropping off these flowers. He always had a joke and a smile whenever you saw him. May your family always keep the many happy memories you have of Thomas throughout the years. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God hold each of you in His hands. Denise and Mike Bowling
