Thomas peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Tom fought cancer hard and unfortunately lost the battle way too soon.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, mostly his nieces and nephews. In his final days he didn’t get to spend as much time with the little ones as he would have liked and it saddened him daily. He loved them more then he could have ever shown them.
He worked as a landscaper until he couldn’t anymore.
Tom is predeceased by his mother Gloria, his father Thomas and his step father William. Tom is survived by his Aunt Mary Mursheno and Aunt Emily Civitarese. He is also survived by his 6 siblings Edward Monell (Mare), Debbie Smith (Michael), Shawn Monell, Lisa Benites (Frank), Kelly Sloan (Kevin) and William Monell (Ashley). He is also survived by his niece Nicole, who was his caretaker & took care of him until the very last second. She was his Angel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
A memorial for Tom is being held on Thursday at 2pm. Somers Point VFW. 500 Bethel Road Somers Point, NJ 08244. All who knew Tom and/or his family are welcome.
