Tom The Breakdancer

April 2, 2020
Came across some old photos that reminded me about how you used to love dancing. Guess what? Your son Moses got the dancing bug too. Saw him with my own two eyes. He's got the moves, just like you.

Trip Down Memory Lane (Part 1)

September 5, 2015

Its so sad that you left us Tom the breakdance machine hehe, but I choose to remember all thos super duper memories you gave us,and me especially.Kwanza your son is a spitting image of you!!!I look at your pic when you were small and compare it with his and let me just say its just you in another timezone.Guess all those science fiction movies we used to love were actually true,ey?

Well probably most of your friends don't know this, perhaps even some of the siblings too but Tom you were one guy bursting with life.I remember in Hurlingham I used to wake up at 6am on Thur,Fri,Sat and sometimes on Sundays too to open the door for ya as you came back from the rave with the next door neighbour Prince was his name.I used to fantasize about what went on out there. But God has a funny sense of humour coz as you went out,you created quite a reputation for yourself in the dancing competitions at maddy, visions, carni, bubbles and the others I cannot recall as the years eroded them, its because of that reputation that kept me safe in high school from being monolised. The fourth formers, especially the big ballers all knew you through the clubs. So when I joined and they discovered the family name,I had protection from 3rd and 4th formers alike.

Going back further, back in Upperhill,I totally believed you would one day marry Geraldine.I must confess in all the years I never saw you smitten as you were with her. There was this day you were trying to impress her with your "karate" skills. You threw a kick so hard and ripped your pants right in the middle and most of all infront of your crush!!I also remeber how you took off after and left us all in tears. But I will never forget, although Geraldine smiled for the sake of the rest of us,I could clearly see the concern in her eyes. That's when I started believeing in "the one".

Wah,I have so much to write and so little time.Right now the cousins are meeting up for some mbuzi,so as we party pliz come and join us in spirit.Talk later

With Much Love,

Tony
