Thurman Jackson, was born May 9, 1955 in Oakland, CA to Oscar Edward Jackson and Eura Lee Jackson (Hodge). He was baptized at an early age at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Oakland, CA

Thurman graduated from Fremont High School in 1973, at which time he married Victoria Henderson.  Out of this union three children were born; Thurman Jackson Jr., Consuela Jackson, and Victor Jackson.  He later met Sharan Ford, their relationship led to the birth of daughter Sheree Criner (Jackson). He then married Beverly Jackson, where as a blended family they raised her two children Stephen Congress and Colleen Congress.

Thurman worked for Oakland Unified School District until retirement. He then founded Brookfield Productions; a company that was his passion where he worked until his health declined.

Thurman was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Lewis (Jabo) Mozon and James Earl Mozon.  

Thurman is survived by brothers Johnny Lee Wiseman Jackson of Texas, Harvey Allen Jackson of Ceres, CA, sisters; Winnetta Carol Nash of Oakland, Priscilla Jackson Haynes of Ceres, CA and Eleasia R. Jackson of Modesto, CA. His wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, host of nieces and nephews, and everyone he deeply cared for and had special relationships with.
