Tiara Monique "Tia" Smith-Peterson, age 17, of Alliance, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident.She was born October 13, 1993 in Alliance, Ohio to Ryan W. Peterson and Lori Smith.Tiara was a junior at West Branch High School and currently enrolled in the IBE Program. She was a member of the Pep Club, SADD and played basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and loved being the big sister.
She was a member of the First Church of God.Tiara is survived by her mother, Lori Smith (Brian Ceresna) and siblings, Isaac Smith and Bra’lynn Ceresna of Alliance; father, Ryan (Ashley) Peterson, and siblings, Zane Peterson and Sydney Peterson of Sebring; maternal grandparents, Karen and Bill Smith of Alliance; paternal grandparents, Rod and Dana Peterson of Alliance; paternal great grandfathers Lloyd Davidson and John Peterson, both of Alliance; maternal great-grandparents, Julia Taylor of Lisbon, Flo and Dick Engle and Marilyn Smith, all of Alliance; maternal aunts, Erica (Christopher) Holland of Watertown, NY and Angela (Jason) Desantis of Cuyahoga Falls; paternal aunts, Bethany (Brian) Baum of Wooster and Kendra Peterson of Alliance.Preceding her in death were her paternal great-grandmothers Wanda Davidson and Dorothy Peterson and maternal great-grandfather, Daniel Taylor.
