Our beloved Tim, Pawpaw, and Uncle Pawpaw was a great father, a loving son, and an awesome brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was a loyal friend and he was blessed with many wonderful friends. He was born in Houston and raised in Anchorage, AK, Arcadia, CA, and Missouri City, TX. He later made his home in Plantation, Florida. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Rogers, sister, Susan Rogers, and nephew, Mike Smith, all of Missouri City, TX, sister Mary Ann Dougharty of Houston, TX, daughter Nadine Rogers, son Benjamin Rogers, and the light in his life: granddaughter, Kayla Rogers, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He joined his beloved father, Lee Rogers, in Heaven on June 22, 2015.
He had a heart as big as Alaska, a laid-back California way, a little Texas spirit, and a sprinkling of Florida sun. To that, add a kick of Zeppelin or Stevie Ray and a round of golf, and that was Tim.
He always took care of his family, both in Florida and Texas.
Tim had a long respected career at MTU No. America that began in 1980. He started as a service tech and worked his way to service engineer, then applications engineer. He worked projects at most of the finest shipyards in the industry with some of the finest people in the industry. After 20 yrs., he ventured out to live his American dream as a consultant–service engineer in the marine industry. He was working on a project for the U.S. Coast Guard when he lost his hard-fought battle with cancer.
Tim is DEARLY missed by his family and many friends and loved ones.
