Timothy John Moore 1963 – 2019

February 23, 2019

On Sunday, February 10th, 2019 Tim Moore (more affectionately known as “Tiger”) went to spend the rest of his spiritual life in the loving hands of God at the age of 55.

Tim was born on December 28th, 1963 at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, FL to Samuel Leedom Moore and Nannette Fletcher Moore. Tim grew up in Miami and graduated from Westminster Christian High School where he developed many loving and lasting relationships. He then continued his education at the University of Georgia where he studied Information Technology/Computer Science. While married to Susan Johnson Moore, together they created a beautiful daughter Courtney Anne Moore. Tim was a devoted, loving, and dedicated father to Courtney. He was very invested in her education and thoroughly enjoyed coaching her and her softball team. Together they shared in his love of boating where he encouraged her to get her boating license. They also had a mutual relationship with God and deeply valued attending church together.

Growing up around Tim you had to know his love for taking things apart and then putting them back together, only better. He loved tinkering on his pride and joy… his black 1977 Smokey and the Bandit Edition Trans Am. And not so much on his older brother Fletcher’s first boat, a Formula 23’.

Services will be held to honor Tim’s life on March 1st, 2019 at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church beginning at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will then take place at Sandbar Sports Grill of Cutler Bay beginning at 1:00 pm.

There will also be a service in Clearwater, FL on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 110 South Fort Harrison Ave. From 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Tim you can make a donation in Tim’s name to the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, which will go to the Peace Café. This is where Tim loved spending his time helping out the homeless by cooking and serving them in many ways.

We all love you Tim, you will be dearly missed but we all are more peaceful knowing you are in a place of pure love, peace, and tranquility.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Samuel “Tim” Leedom Moore and his mother, Nannette Fletcher Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Anne Moore,”his little monkey”; his brother, Fletcher Moore; and his sisters, Melodee Hicks and Jennifer Fernandez, along with their spouses, Beth Moore, Dr. Bryan Hicks, and Julio Fernandez. He also leaves behind five nieces and one nephew, Brooke Moore, Samantha Moore, Hannah Hicks, Haley Hicks, and Davis Hicks.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble at heart, and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
