Timothy 'Blues' Farley, international-impact art packing pioneer, trainer, mentor, and lecturer, prolific self-taught "outsider" artist, diarist and poet, and erudite musicologist of North American traditional and popular genres, was Head of art packing and transport for the Philadelphia Museum of Art from the late 1970s into the 1990s, most active in American Association of Museums and American Institute for Conservation contexts early-late 1980s.
During the 1990s through 2014 Blues continued with museum collections care consulting, contracting, and project teams, and often joined outdoor sculpture conservation projects and teaching, in addition to unrelated vocations. Blues has enjoyed an energetic very colorful, productive and generous life affecting many, many people including numerous museum, art and music folk.
