Tim and I worked together for a few years and often consulted one another for advice whenever we had a difficult or unique problem to solve. Although our relationship formed during a merger of competing companies, we quickly put our pasts behind us and came to lean on one another. Through our discussions Tim indirectly taught me a number of things but the top of the list has to be the fun, camaraderie, and rapport he was able to instill and maintain in his team throughout a global pandemic. I thoroughly admire his leadership and the effort he put into making his and his team's jobs fun despite the unusual circumstances. I offer his family and friends my sincerest condolences and hope you know that he was a much appreciated member of the Cloudera family. He is missed tremendously.

I worked with Tim for many years while at Cloudera on the same team and different teams. Tim was a very solid make it happen type of guy, while being enjoyable to be around. Alway enjoyed our discussions around competitive technologies. He will be missed by colleagues and remembered.

I started working with Tim in 2016, and he immediately made me felt welcome and apart of the team. He was always willing to help me and guide me during my career at Cloudera. Every time we spoke, he would ask me how I was doing, and we would usually end up talking and laughing for at least an hour. I will miss our conversations, and cherish the time that we did get to spend together.

To Tim's family, I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you find comfort and peace.

To me, Tim was a leader, a mentor, advocate, and friend. I miss him tremendously.

Tim had enormous knowledge of our tools (which is so important in our line of work), but he also had a keen sense of how to navigate organizations and people. Tim was always willing to give his time to ensure my success. When I came up short with product knowledge, didn't know how to do something, or whom to reach out to, Tim knew the answer or where to get it. He was always enabling me for success, and in our line of work, that is invaluable. On a professional level, his loss has impacts me daily.

Beyond our work, Tim genuinely cared about me and the rest of the team as individual people. Every week, he would take the time to ask me about my kids, how my parents are, and ask me to show him what I painted the previous weekend. He always wanted to know what was going on in my life - with my family and my personal endeavors. Then he would brag about his niece and nephew - talk about the gifts he was buying them for their birthdays and holidays.

Tim was optimistic about the future and was eagerly awaiting a post-covid future when we could all be face-to-face again. He had started to go fishing again, and he was ready to get back to traveling again. When Tim came to Atlanta, he always wanted to go to Gu's on Buford highway. He was a hot-pepper-head, and loved to eat the hottest foods he could find. I was looking forward to going to Gu's on Tim's next trip to Atlanta - to meet up and share a basket of spicy chicken.

I miss Tim's presence, his knowledge, and his example. I hope you will find some peace and comfort knowing that Tim's memory will live on in my heart as a man who was honest, smart, and good.

Tim and I met for the first time at a training class, and hit it off immediately. We remained friends and colleagues ever since. I will miss seeing his smiling face at our Cloudera events in the future.

It was an honor to work with Tim. He went out of his way to help others be successful. He genuinely cared and made it a point to ask how we were doing. He made people feel welcomed and supported. We will miss him dearly. May his memory always be a blessing.

I've worked with Tim for many years. We got to meet in person a few times a year, during company events or for customer meetings in New York. Tim was a great colleague and left a lasting impact on the company. He was a pleasure to work with -- helpful to his colleagues, trusted by his customers, and a true leader to his team. Tim will be sorely missed.

Tim and I worked on different continents, but we met a few times over the years at our annual sales kickoffs and other events. I was always struck by how committed and passionate he was about his work, and just a nice guy to be around. We feel his loss around the world. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Tim was as real as it gets! When the pandemic forced us to shut down travel, Tim and members of his team joined a weekly get-together to build friendships and share laughs. Tim was there nearly every week -- any time 'one of those' Customers didn't get in the way! He enjoyed his work, and he loved his team. On several occasions, I found myself taking his advice whether it approaches to address customers needs or good places to find the best cigar. I remember the last time I saw Tim -- SKO in February of 2020. He was relaxing on a couch after the last session of the second to last day. He was tired but had a smile on his face. I wish I had stuck around longer. We always feel we have more time, and losing Tim was a gut punch. I will miss his laugh, and I will miss his sincere love for his team. I will miss him.

I met Tim at a dinner with 2 other people the night before his first official day at Cloudera. I instantly knew that he was going to do great here and he did some amazing things while at Cloudera. I always enjoyed seeing Tim. He always had something nice to say and was a real pleasure to be around.

Tim Geary and I were brought together by the forces of the merger. Tim was legacy Cloudera, I was legacy Hortonworks. When Tim accepted the opportunity to join my leadership team, we set out together to make over our new SE team as Orange. No more Green or Blue. We wanted to lead our teams by example and be on the leading edge of building the new Cloudera together. In those early days, we bonded around something very powerful we both shared - an unwavering commitment to our people. It brought us together. Over the course of the two years since the merger, through all the ups and downs, we had done what we set out to do ... together. I am so grateful that the last meeting I shared with Tim the Friday before he passed was focused on how to inspire our best people and the last email exchange with Tim I had over that weekend was recognition in front of our shared leadership for the exceptional FY21 results we had achieved together. We were proud of what we had done together and very excited for the new year ahead. I think of Tim every day ... and his team and I have chosen to remember Tim by finding that same common ground between us, an unwavering commitment to our great customers. Tim is family. We miss him dearly.

I was a co-worker with Tim for many years. He was a guy who believed in excellence and lived that everyday. Tim always remembered the human side of the work we do and always had time to discuss family and friends. He will be missed, but always remembered.
