                  REJOICE
Amen
There will be no more death or mourning or crying of pains
For the old order of things have passed away

The pain we are all feeling is more than I myself can say
For I myself have prayed
For peace of the loved ones of the deceased

But it is what it is going to be
Everything has its time and season
Just like that of a little seedling
Which springs into a beautiful tree

We can all see this, not easy as we thought it would be
But the Lord knows best
And he puts us first

And now our father lies in the Lords soft bosom
In his ever peaceful nest
Our mouths are dry and our eyes are wet
But we all know
A decision of God is not something we would ever regret
We pray we do not get lost in the loop or lose our sight and view
For the world is a market
In which we have all queued
I know it is hard to lose
This is heavy on our chest
It seems hard to move
If man were God we would hardly choose

But His ways are not of ours
But this I know our daddy will forever remain amongst the stars

For this is the beginning of a new journey
On when we must go on and say to ourselves nothing can stop me

The turn of a new page
the start of a new chapter
The beginning of a new stanza
I know God will turn every tear to a form of laughter

Live on now forevermore and after
Forever will BABA AJALA be remembered
Rejoice for he lived for humanity
Rejoice for he lived for a good cause
In our hearts, he will forever remain
At least we know
There shall be no empty space
for the holy spirit will fill his place.

To Uncle Tim!
When you said " ...my dear Queenie, whatever you have, tag the prices and display them here. When they sell, come and take your money..." We were amazed. ONLY UNCLE TIM AJALA CAN BE THAT MAGNANIMOUS. The entire Kaduna saw TIMA and QUEENIE'S as competitors yet you had a commitment TO ENCOURAGE YOUR YOUNGER ONES. You were you and will be missed until we meet to part no more. Adieu!!!

Hmmm, Baba, you were a Dad like no other. I will always remember how you used to tease me cos I liked food too much. How you will always ask if I'm taking care of my husband. How you will tease me about getting pregnant with twins. Even when we were under pressure at work, you would always find a way around and make us smile. I will miss making coffee for you at Ladela. I will really miss you.

Tribute to Baba

I grew up and knew you as the number 1 and my late Dad (Olaniyan Joshua Ajala) as the 2nd in Late Pa Emmanuel Ajala's family.
When my Dad was was called to glory in 1996, Baba, you never stopped playing the fatherly role to us. You made sure we never lacked anything and would always advice us. I always run to you whenever I needed assistance and support...hmmm... Baba rere, you always provided. I will never forget your kind words. You practically gave me ALL.
Just few days ago, Baba you said a word of prayer and birthday wishes for my son, Israel Olaniyi Ajala, who just clocked one. You pushed me to improve on my IT skills and would always smile at me when I demonstrated my skills. We shared our rivalry in Football, you supported Man U while I support Chelsea FC.
Whenever I go or do wrong, you corrected me, whenever I do well, I get a reward.
You have always talked about the bigger projects and plans for Ajala family.
It was a privilege and blessing to have a Grandpa like you.
Thank you for all the things you did for me and my family.
You were Gentle and Meek.
You will forever be missed.
You are the Best.
Rest in Glory Baba till we meet in the morning.

I never expected to hear such a devastating news!!!
Baba!
You will be missed by every single one of us.

A loving and caring grand father also an ardent Manchester United fan, their match was always on any time we came over to visit.
There was always enough supply of groundnut in your house, I always looked forward to it all the time.

I will forever miss you Baba
Continue to rest in the Bosom of The Lord!

Till we meet again!!

Those whom the Lord loves, he calls home too soon. Uncle Tim was an exceptional man who cast a light over those he came in contact with, and left a life long impression. You lived a life your family (including all of your adopted children) can always be proud of. Knowing you are not here dims this world a little, but believing you are in the presence of God lifts us all up. May your gentle soul find everlasting peace in the kingdom of God.

March 26, 2021
I always knew you as Baba but you were more than that to me. You were my Grandpa!
I remember whenever I come to your house you would make my sister and I sit next to you watching football, you would ask us what football club we belong to and when I say Arsenal you would frown. However, I became a Manchester fan because of you.

You would have guest but still make sure my twin and I are comfortable and even let us finish the chocolate cake on the table.

Lots of memories indeed! It’s been long since I saw you, but I am grateful that the memories of you that I hold are those of your presence.

You went to be with the Lord too soon, how I wish I were given the time and opportunity to say goodbye, I will miss you, grandpa.

Forever in my heart, Always (Baba).

Baba!!!

We are grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for your life here on earth. You inspired many and you inspired me. You took me and many others as sons, daughters and as friends. I am forever grateful. I would definitely miss your kind words to me whenever Arsenal FC would lose a match. I found you always to be a man for others no matter the situation. I continually try to emulate that.
We have all learnt from you over the years. Irede, Iyiola, Mummy, Kike, Ola-Edo, Myself, all your grand kids n all our people - we would all continue to share love and be our one big family and keep your memories near and dear. Look out for us all from God’s Kingdom. Amen.

Thank you Baba!! We celebrate you!!

It is with a very heavy yet grateful heart that I write this ...

I was not opportuned to meet Baba, as he is fondly called, in person, but I had heard about him...His total support of his wife and family and his warm hospitality to all those who I know met him, even I can say that he was dear to their heart from the way they spoke of him. For these two things I can then say ... I knew him...

So I know that it is a tough time for the family
On the other hand, what a joy to know that he was loved so much and there are various testaments that attest to that..

He has left a good mark and heritage and my prayer is that it would continue for generations to come ...

Do accept my warm sympathy dear Mrs Ajala (My NP) and know that I have you and the family in my prayers.

May he rest in the bosom of the Lord and the Lord will remain your sstrength through these times.

God bless xoxo

You were the 'prodigal's father'... I was your prodigal. You always waited with arms wide open to receive this petulant child; never judging or condemning. Thank you. I took it for granted that you would ALWAYS be here no matter how long i was away. I never thought you would leave this soon.
I am pained. I am hurt. I am so so sad.
I will always love you for loving me baba.

AN ICON HAS GONE TO SLEEP

You took on the position as head of the family (#1) when our late father passed on to glory in 1974. You have since then up till when you transited to glory played that God ordained role not only to my siblings but to so many not related to you by blood.

You were selfless, loving and caring. You sacrificed so much for your siblings to have a life. You literarily picked us from the dungs and placed us on enviable pedestals. You taught us virtually everything ranging from how to dress, cook and how to relate and care for people amongst other things.

You catered for and instilled in us values that cannot be learnt in any school. You were so selfless that you emptied your bank account several times from your little income just to ensure that we went to school and have a good life.

You followed us in our educational growth to the point of knowing when we were distracted in school just from looking at the trends in our results. You encouraged us and particularly gave me the platform to develop my technical skills. You allowed me to use your household equipment to practise on and believed in me so much that you instilled the potential to aim for the sky in my professional life. The Lord indeed used you to sharpened me to be what I am today.

The pain in your soul was indescribable each time we lost a sibling before you sadly followed. Your wish was that we all return back to God the same order we came. The joy in our hearts is that you are in a better place devoid of struggles of life.

Your memory will ever be fresh in our hearts. Rest on Baba, dearest Father, until we meet at the feet of the Lord to part no more.

I have fond memories of Baba asking me about and wanting me to attend football school up until 2018. You taught me to never give up on my dreams and aspirations, no matter how small or big.

I admired your relationship with my Dad. Whenever he visited, I always wanted to tag along because I always felt welcome in your house. You were wise and kind to everyone.
You will be greatly missed!

Rest In Peace, Baba.

UNFORGETTABLE..,

My Brother, My Father, My Benefactor...
You picked me up from the garage and sent me to school. Since then, I have not left your side in 46years until that Sunday night when you passed on.

You made me what I am today. I am grateful. Your success was my success. Your challenge was my challenge.
I will not forget all that we shared... your pains, your expectations...

On that last night in the hospital, you looked round and saw all of us and you were pleased.

A Titan, an Iroko tree has fallen. Continue to intercede for us to carry on well as a family.

Unforgettable, that is what you are...

Tribute to Baba
Baba was always so full of energy. My dad always told me stories of how he won trophies as the captain of his youth soccer team. His commitment to his workout sessions and evening walks was inspiring. He was really enthusiastic about sports. He got me the Manchester United soccer jersey when they were newly released every year.

Baba loved having family around. My parents, siblings and I always visited him at weekends. I was fortunate to have Baba as family and I will miss him a lot.

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED BROTHER TIM DEJO AJALA
I cannot say precisely when I knew Timo as we fondly called him. We were born in JOS, PLATEAU STATE and we grew up in the same
compound. He was brought up in the fear of the Lord. He loved going to the church and he loved God.
He attended Baptist Primary school Jo's. He attended Kagoro SIM Secondary school.
He loved playing football.
He was kind,humble,loving,generous
respectful and compassionate. During his teenage years we would go out together with other teenagers in the same compound and neighbouring compound. He studied his HSC in St Paul College ( Now Kufena College )
Wusasa, Zaria.
He the proceeded to
Ahmadu Bello University where he obtained his first degree and master degree.
He was in the ABU Football team. He was employed as a lecturer in the College of Basic Study of ABU.
He left ABU to start a Sewing Business called TIMA in Kaduna. The Sewing Institute flourished and became very popular.
He had a very charming character and was a person anyone would like to be with all the day long.
During his brief visit to United kingdom in 2019 we would call each other several times and talk at length.. He would be greatly missed.
We loved him but our Lord Jesus Christ love him very much more. Rest in peace at the feet of JESUS till we meet to part no more.
Good night.

It's so hard to come to terms with the fact that you have left us, Baba.
I prayed my heart out that fateful sunday night all the way from the house to the hospital and I trusted God to restore you to health but God sent His Angels to take you home.
You were truly a father to me. You were always interested in my well being. I am so grateful for your encouragement and counsel in my down times. You helped to lift me up.
I pray that the Lord who has taken you will comfort us all.
As you rest in His bosom and with the saints, please intercede for us and our well being as you have always done.
Eternal Rest grant unto Baba Tim Ajala, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

TRIBUTE TO TIMOTHY OLADEJO AJALA
Timothy was my childhood friend who is hard to forget. We spent great moments together as youths in our secondary and university days. Timothy was a school-boy footballer per excellence, a team player that captained the all-conquering St. John’s College, Wusasa, Zaria to capture the principles’ cup in 1967. Timothy also captained the ABU, Zaria football team to NUGA GAMES in Lagos in 1968 and the West African University Games, Sierra Leone in 1969. My love for English literature and thriller paperbacks emanated from Timothy who was a lecturer in English at the ABU, Zaria With Femi Ogunleye, vintage journalist, lawyer and public relations guru (now His Royal Highness, Obe Femi Ogunleye), we enjoyed each other’s company growing up. We encouraged one another and pushed ourselves to achieve success. Our competition was healthy and without any envy or rancor. Timothy was a friend, a great friend who stuck closer than a brother. His memory will never fade.

THANK YOU MESSAGE TO AN UNDESCRIBABLE PATRIARCH
I always believe that your name should probably have been Abraham, but then, i am not in a position to name you sir.

Baba, just like biblical Abraham (always thot that is what your parents should have named you) you are a father of not just your biological children or filial children, but that of nations and generations.

I have struggled with words over the last few days that will aptly capture exactly the way we feel, or that can express vividly what we want to say of an enigmatic personality like you.

Alas, words alone cannot describe who you were, or what you represented in the lives of several people (especially us - late Deborah Ajala-Obikanye & her children).

Therefore, we summarize everything we wish to say in two words - THANK YOU.

Baba:
THANK YOU for pouring yourself so selflessly for others to become somebody.

THANK YOU for loving unconditionally.

THANK YOU for teaching not just in words but in deed and action.

THANK YOU for building not just lives, but generations.

THANK YOU for being a pillar of support and lifter of destinies.

THANK YOU for several firsts in our lives that we can attribute to you & God almighty.

THANK YOU for showing the world how to live gloriously and in Christ.

For me, THANK YOU for the prayer on my 50th birthday (i called specifically to ask that you pray for me, and you did)

We spoke last on the Wednesday, March 10th and you did not give an inkling that you were already transiting to glory because your voice did not betray that the end was nigh. From what i heard, you showed greater strength in your very last minutes.

The joy we have is that the world has not lost a rare gem like you, because in we your children, your legacies live on, and as the lives you have positively impacted continue to thrive, your memory is blessed and your works enduring.

Baba Timothy Oladejo Ajala....sun re o. Ipade di ese Jesu.

Hmmm, Baba your death was a rude shock but the consolation is you have gone to be with the lord.
You were a nice man, selfless, very considerate and ready to render words of wisdom when asked.
Your respect for women is second to none, no wonder you exited on a 'mother's day'
Baba you never disclosed the source of that special coffee you buy for me every time, that you said it's good for diabetes. I will surely miss you for that.
May the Lord comfort your wife Angela , children, grandchildren and the entire Ajala family.
Goodnight Baba. Continue to rest in the bosom of the lord.

Baba was a father to me. He showed me that it is always better to be kind to people and I learnt so much from him in so many ways. I count myself to be very lucky to have known him. He accepted me into his home and accepted me into his life. He was very simple and honestly did not have any wahala at all. I enjoyed always being around him.
We both shared a love for movies and we would often gist about them. From old action movies like ‘Red Scorpion’, ‘Terminator’, old Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee movies, to recent tv shows like ‘24’ with Jack Bauer. We even gisted about dramas like ‘the Shawshank Redemption’, which we both agreed was probably one of the greatest movies ever made. It was a movie about hope, love and friendship, and Baba really knew how to show love.
He always told me that he was very proud of me, right from my NYSC days till present. And I can honestly say that I am proud to be called one of his children. There is a famous quote from Bruce Lee that I would like to borrow at this time which states that “The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering”. Indeed, Baba has become immortal, as He will live on forever through his children and his adopted children, because we all will continue to remember and emulate him. I will really miss him. God bless you Baba!

When Iyiola and I became friends we’d always go straight from the lobby into his room to play games. So I never really got to know Baba until I would wait a bit to hang out with him. He seemed so cool and he’d be watching soccer or some shows.

Babs, as we called him, was always so supportive and caring.

I remember in 2019 once we spoke on the phone and he asked after my mum, she wasn’t feeling too well. Baba drove to the house within the hour and demanded that we go to the hospital. He waited with us and brought us back, even went round the crescent because I had dropped my phone in the sienna.

I’ll miss our coffee and ‘bitters’ sessions. Babs loved coffee of all kinds, I’d drop by sometimes  to have some and we’d talk. We also loved bitterleaf juice, ruzu bitters and bitter gourd. We unlocked a new level of bonding when he had to switch up his diet! He’d call me ‘babalawo’ when I’d go extreme with some of my infusions .

I’ll miss our fist bumps, banter and his ability to respond to every single silly question I would ask. Seeing Grandbaba interacting with Tara. Watching Man U matches with him “ lukakuu “ . Most especially his “ you ehhhn “ after he hadn’t seen me in a while.

Thank you for the most pleasant memories.

He was a rock to so many. I pray we all find solace in the fact that Baba lived life, fully! And we learn to spread joy with everyone we encounter, because that’s how every interaction with baba felt! You left with a smile on your face and in your heart.

Love you Babs, Till we meet again.

❤️
