Tina Knight entered heaven during her sleep at her home in Monrovia, California due to sudden, unexpected complications from epilepsy. She attended Thomas B. Doherty High School in Colorado Springs before moving to California in 2009 with her sister, Aimee. Tina earned a Bachelor's degree in liberal studies at Azusa Pacific University in 2013 and was a private music teacher, cellist, and fitness instructor. She enjoyed performing handbells, tennis, figure skating, Zumba, playing with her cats, and anything related to music. Tina leaves behind her mother, Dianne, sisters, Aimee and Chelley, grandmother, Nancy, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-law, nephew, niece, stepfather, and many other family members, friends, and students.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. It was a long time ago that I was blessed to have met Aimee, and then Tina as my Zumba teacher at LA Fitness. It was fun and great working out with them. Tina will be forever missed, even though she’s on the arms of Jesus.

Tina and I were close friends in high school in CO. She was the person who encouraged me to do cross country with her and we were doubles partners on the tennis team. I remember spending many hours laughing, playing hard, and just talking about life together. Though we lost touch after she moved to CA for college, I always cherished our friendship and her sweet, kind nature. She was an amazing person and a good friend.

Tina was a lovely young woman who will be missed by all of us who knew her. I had the pleasure of working with both Tina and Aimee in many First United Methodist of Pasadena church productions, both summer musicals and fall and spring plays. She was always excited to be involved and share her many talents. She was so easy to work with and her cheerful, calm approach helped all of us deal with the inevitable stresses of performance. Playing handbells with her was also a delight. She was a kind and generous spirit and she brightened our days in so many ways. We will miss her.

My heart breaks from losing my sweet daughter. I am comforted knowing she had strong faith, but I will miss her so much. We loved to play tennis and go ice skating; I enjoyed going to her Zumba and Body Works classes. She had recently purchased a new cello and loved playing it with all her heart. She truly loved music and loved teaching her students how to play their instruments.
Dear God, hold her in your arms and cherish my beautiful baby who I love so deeply. We can't believe she is gone, it has been such a shock. She was young and vibrant, it doesn't seem right for her to leave us so soon.
