ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Engr. Paul Oluwatobi Ajibola Oni, B.Eng Petroleum Engineering (First Class), #TheAfricanDream, 25, to mark his 30th post mortem birthday; born on July 6, 1990 and passed away on September 12, 2015. We will remember him forever.

He was a strategic thinker, a visionary, brilliant, innovative and creative. He contributed so much to the success of many in diverse ways. You generously gave all your gifts, knowledge, time etc. in the service of God and humanity.  He didn't leave us without mighty deeds and living testimonies. You are forever in our hearts. We remember your admonition that what you accomplish for the kingdom of God in this life is what matters to you. You left extra ordinary foot prints. Indeed, you were a GENIUS and the dunces that were all in confederacy against you could not but bow to you and the almighty God! Though your spirit has returned to God who gave it as in Ecclesiasis 12: 7 but our joy is that EVERYTHING WRITTEN ABOUT YOU CONFIRMED THAT YOU ARE GREAT. Your memory is blessed forever!

As always ... I remember...
What a promising gem!
What a high flyer!
What a great icon in the making!
What a brilliant shining Star!
What an exquisite genus!!!!!
Oh Yes, to us at this side of human divide, it was a premature departure, or if our use of language as believers will permit, 'it was a huge and irreparable loss' but to heavens 'it's such a great and celebrated arrival, Heaven's gain....
Ha ha ha!!!!

But Tobi, your departure did not give only me pains but it made me very very angry and very frustrated and that's why I have decided not to talk about it.

But then, we all submit to God's will in total reverence...

Keep resting

We all love you till eternity but obviously Jesus loves you more

We are past grieving but the tears still flows even right now.....

We are past asking why but we are yet to be satisfied with answer.....

Thank you Jesus

Well, well, well, the more I tried to forget because of the hurts, the pains and the frustration of your sudden and abrupt departure, the more I kept on thinking about it not only around this date in September but all year round . How can I ever forget? "Forever miss" is the ideal word. You left a vacuum that will forever be missed... You are such a priceless jewel, rare species, uncommon individual among men. Keep resting on in the bosom of the Master......

Really I must say that I received the news with great shock and pain in my heart. I read through all the tribute and truly you must have been great and good. It's not how long a man lives that matters but how impactful such a person is. Am so sure you have impacted and influenced many. Sleep on and continue to rest. You are forever missed by all.

Been starring at my screen trying to express my emotions in words. Truth is im not sure i know how. The way i feel usually makes me wonder how they keep going on. Not sure if I've mourned you and probably may never. Wish i can express myself in tears and let it all out but ........... I guess what im trying to say is i really do miss you. You did leave a hole, one i intend not to fill. You truly were a brother.

I had the privilege of meeting you in Lagos and in that short period we had an insightful conversation about the petroleum industry in Nigeria. You are a rare gem, with an outstanding personality. The news of your demise came as a rude shock to me, I read the sms over and over again amidst tears praying that it was sent in error and that the content was not true.
I looked forward to working with you on Safric Energy Services Limited your brain child.
You are greatly missed. We love you but the almighty God loves you most. Rest on.

Oluwatobiloba... We cherish your memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than the living man. The bond between friends cannot be broken by chance; no interval of time or space can destroy it. Not even death itself can part true friends. I miss you OLUWATOBILOBA.

Just like yesterday! I met Tobi in 2011 when his dad who happened to be my oga in First Bank brought him to me while I was a Relationship Manager. He was calm and unassuming but full of Solomonic wisdom. I was amazed at his rare ingenuity. He used to run the father's business account then. I was shocked and dumbfounded when I heard about his demise in September 2015. Tobi, we love you but God loves you the more. Rest on bro. Your name is immortalised already. I keep praying for your dad who seemingly find it difficult to cope with your absence. It is well with all your friends and family members. - Kayode Toriola

That day was September 13th, 2015.

I logged onto Facebook in the evening, reading through my friends post. Shockingly, I read a post which stated 'RIP TOBI ONI' and immediately, i became still and dumb for few minutes. I opened his wall and saw that something was dreadfully wrong. I scrolled down and saw his smiling face with comments indicating that my friend was dead. Right on the spot, I screamed 'NO' it can't be true. Tobi was far too young to be no more, only in mid 20's, had a long discussion with him few weeks back. I kept on scrolling down his wall, reading the messages that had been posted, confirming my worst fears.

I logged out and pulled a call through but it wasn't picked up and later called one of His friends in the university who confirmed his death to me.
I wept bitterly like a wounded child, screaming ' it can't be true'. Tobi was a true best friend, phenomenal young man, caring, loving, brilliant, selfless and a follower of Christ. I outrightly remembered your last message to me via BBM ' Nonso, all will be well'.

Recently, I visited canaanland and I am so glad to let you know that I have joined your mission when you were alive.

My dear friend, it's so painful to know that you are no more but I have found strength and hope in God's word. Phil 1:21 and 1st Thess 4:13-18.
Keep on resting in the Lord's bossom. Till we meet again.

Tobi Today, we fondly called you. I miss you sooooo much.
You were an amazing friend, classmate and leader. I hold all memories with you dearly; Tise, SPECUCHORDZ, praying together as class prayer chaplains. I miss all your teases. You held a special doctorate degree in checking up with others. Above all, you loved like Christ

Hi Tobi, I wasn't really close to you in school, but I have come to know you through your Dad and I can only imagine how amazing a life you lived. It's not about the length of days, but the impact. Thank you so much for fulfilling purpose. Keep singing with the angels! Leave some enjoyment for us o! We love you!

what else can i say than to PRAISE his creator by singing this hymn of commitment
"Jesus what didst thou found in me,
That thou hast dealt so lovingly,
How great the joy that thou has brought,
So far exceeding my hope or thought,
JESUS, my Lord, I Thee adore,
O make me LOVE Thee more and more". Amen
BABA T..WE GREATLY MISS YOU BUT WE ARE COMMITTED TO YOUR IDEALS AS PUT IN YOUR MEMOIRS AND IMPLEMENTING THEM IN PHASES. We shall meet in Heaven in Jesus name. Amen.

Oluwatobiloba, I talk about you everyday like you're right here and then ask myself if you're really here but I keep getting your wonderful sense of humor that leaves me laughing. It feels awkward but I still believe I talk to you...thanks for the impacts and contributions you made in my my life, I could never have been this better without you. If am to choose, I'll choose you over and over again as my brother because you're simply the best and absolutely irreplaceable...love you now, always and forever.
