TRIBUTE TO A GOOD FRIEND TO MY FATHER

January 4, 2016
TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF PA T.T.OBEN:

We present our heartfelt condolences to the Family of Pa T.T. Oben. We the sons and daughters of Besongabang Village have lost another Archive, a valuable textbook has temporarily been stolen away from us by death. But we know that Pa T.T. Oben will live forever because as a Christian, he has conquered death and he does not feel the sting of death. Pa has fought the good fight, he has finished the race and has kept the faith. The song writer reminds us that we are all fading away like the stars of the morning..... and we shall only be remembered by what we shall have done. Yes  Pa T.T. Oben did quite much and his life deserves celebrations. May Pa's soul rest in perfect peace and may the family be reminded that there is life beyond the grave. When the day of joyful resurrection shall come, we shall all join him and the others gone before, PA AYUKETAH, PA NKONGHO ETAKA, PA ASSAM, UNCLE TABENDANG,etc..., to celebrate eternity.(Oswarld for the Ayuketah Family) .

Good Bye Sir

December 22, 2015

Few teachers have left a lasting impact on the lives of the students they touched like you did. You saw and took your job as not only a teacher but as a father/ Guardian of all your students. I maintain a strong interest in economics and global financial issues to this day because of you. For many of your former students, you were [and will remain] not only a favorite teacher but a mentor, motivator and a source of inspiration and hope. There are few former teachers I am prouder of identifying as my inspiration than the phenomenally intelligent and articulate T. T. Oben.

Goodbye and sleep well Sir, until we meet again.

The wisdom that never fades

Pa TT

Your inspiration transends all genarations. Not only as a venerated teacher but above that you carried all generations burden on your head.In death today should we say fun?should we say sadness? i taught both because you are a great man.one needed just five minutes beside you to know how inteligent you are.Not as you said you are ; but indeed you are inteligent. i realised you underminded the positive effect you have had on many generation from my mother to my generation; as you remaind very true, humble and honored. Not just as an Inlaw to my Okoyong family where you stayed commited all along but you are truely a honored man.

Pa TT you will remained engraved in our lives and my children will be told and  inspired by your famous kebong story as this is what kept most of us in accademics to date. That insatiable quest for accademics remains all we have in Manyu.

Thank you Pa TT.

RIP.
