Daddy was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on July 13, 1946.  To my grandparents, J.C. And Maybell Tankersley.  He had five brothers and sisters.  After high school, he joined the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War as a Medic.  He received many medals and awards, among them, two Purple Hearts and two bronze stars.  Little did we know he would pay with his life, for the rest of his life, due to Agent Orange exposure, for his service to this country. HE WAS AN AMERICAN HERO. American
