And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
I’m not sure Tony would have ever admitted that he answered the call to serve but he did, and did so with quiet confidence and humility. He spent the last third of his life repairing, expanding and building Cornerstone’s many places. He could be asked to fix a door one day, the next it could be to double the size of the sanctuary, convert a hotel into a senior facility, or seismically retrofit an entire building, and somehow, he would make it happen. Today, each time a student, teacher, staff, or congregant sets foot inside a Cornerstone building they are stepping into a place Tony’s hands had touched and made ready for their use. Tony was a blessing that God provided that we can never be thankful enough for. My prayer is that Tony is now, in God’s hands, enjoying his well-deserved rewards. Tony will be missed.
