Tony Jerome Keeton, Sr. , 67, a lifetime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Brantwood Nursing Home in Oxford.
A native of Vance County, he is the son of Dorothy Bullock Keeton and the late Robert Jerome Keeton, Jr. He was of the Methodist faith and retired as a Lab Technician with Bandag.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. John Yount and Rev. Norman Talley. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford.
Surviving are two daughters, Shannon K. Daniel (Scott) of Oxford, Kristie Keeton Wiles of Oxford, a son, Tony Jerome ”TJ” Keeton (Wendy) of Oxford, step-daughters, Becky LaDare Sandling (Al) of Franklinton, Khristie Claiborne Jackson (Billy) of Rockhill, S.C., brother, Marvin Ray Keeton, a sister, Debbie K. Newcomb (Tommy), three grandsons, four granddaughters, one great-grandaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Woodlief Keeton and a brother, Robert Allen Keeton.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, May 26, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.
