This is Jordan Thomas and Tracy. Jordan created this art for Tracy as a thank you for donating some supplies needed for his artwork. He is a truly amazing artist. Saturday, Jordan gave me another piece of his art. It's simply a hummingbird, wings fluttering away, happy....like I imagine Tracy with his angel wings right now. Anyway, Jordan put a poem on the back that I want to share:
I am not gone
I remain here beside you
Just in a different form
Look for me in your heart
And there you will find me
in our love which forever lives on
In those moments when you feel alone
Look for me in your thoughts
And there you will find me
in sweet memories that burn strong
Every time a tear
Forms in your beautiful eyes
Look up to the heavens
And there you will see me
Smiling down from God's glorious skies
Thank you Jordan, it's beautiful
Dana Point-1970ish
As an adult, you have fragmented memories of childhood. Some are so so, some are great. A great one that I recall and mentioned to Tracy when he and my sister found each other again after so many years, was when he would sit in his little toyota truck outside our house on Pequito st in Dana Point when he was dating my sister. He would drink beer, and stap the bottle caps with his thumbs into the back of his little truck. I thought that was the coolest thing. It never crossed my mind that what is a 17yr old kid doing drink beer in front of my house. lol... He was always kind to me, always was accepting of my presence even though I was the little brat brother of his girlfriend. For anyone who remembers those early days, they were special and will always be a part of what was truly amazing about this great person who is now in the best place any of us could hope to be.
Sorry no pictures, I can't find one that matches what is in my head.
