His Life

Trenton C. Jamal Alexander

January 28, 2016

Trenton was the last of 4 children born to Clifton Alexander and Susan Carter and he was also the only boy. Trent was very SPOILED from birth and he knew that he was too. Trent was a very different child and realized that he was not like everybody else. Growing up, he actively participated in the different choirs and activities for youth and was even on the drill team for 5th Illinois Jurisdiction. Trent came from a musical family, so he would be in the midst of his siblings and cousins making up song, remixing songs or just singing anything.

Trent loved attention and flattery, to say the least. He would riff and run all day long around his friends and family but if you told him to sing in public or put a mic in his hand, he would respectfully decline. But as a tenor in James Andrews & New Seasons, he would be right in the front, moving, dancing and "screaming all over yo face" (as he would say it). He also played the keyboard recreationally and described himself as a professional singer. Throughout his life, he has been afforded the privilege to meet many of his musical mentors and favorite artists and choirs and has traveled to many places he wanted to see.

Unfortunately, Trent was diagnosed with Brain Cancer at the end of October 2013 in Indianapolis, IN which slowed him down. They started treatment immediately and aggressively as it was inoperatable. Trent fought a mighty battle with this aggressive cancer and in the end was healed eternally in the end. He was with his immediate family when he passed and a memorial service was held at his home church in Indianapolis, IN. He is extremely missed by his family and friends as his personality was gigantic and even fighting cancer, his personally never left him. (Ask his doctors, nurses and medical staff that dealt with him lol). We love you Trent and know that you will NEVER be forgotten.
