Trevor Anthony Venture also known as John was born on May 14th, 1969 in Georgetown, Guyana to Joycelyn Sobers and Roland Venture. Throughout his adolescent years, he lived in Georgetown, Paradise, and Essequibo. Trevor attended St. Thomas Moore Primary, Enterprise Primary, and Enterprise Community High School. After graduating from high school, he went on to study mechanics at the Ministry of Public Work at Essequibo. Upon completing his studies, Trevor worked at Enmore Estates as a mechanic for a number of years.

In 1990, Trevor had his first child, Gordon "Junior" Venture. He then migrated to the United States the following year. While visiting a friend, Trevor met Royda "Carol" Duncan, and they began dating shortly after. In 2002, Trevor and Royda welcomed their first son together, Tevon Anthony Venture. In that same year, they got married in Georgetown, Guyana in the presence of their loved ones. Four years later, Trevor and Royda welcomed their second son together, Tyler Jonathan Venture.

In 1991, Trevor was employed as a specialty carpenter and as a contractor. He began working as a mechanic at Island Securing and Maintenance in 2002 and remained employed with the company until the time of his passing.

In March 2021, Trevor became ill and passed away on April 10th, 2021 after fighting a courageous battle. Throughout his life, he was known for his generosity and sense of humor, in addition to being a great historian. He will be missed dearly.

Trevor is survived by his wife, Royda; three sons; father, Roland; stepmother, Kate; father-in-laws, Terrence Shepherd and Anthony Shields Snr.; Mother in Law, Cheryl Shields; four brothers, four sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
