His Life

October 17, 2014

Born in Kingston Jamaica, May 19th, 1940 to the late Leonard and Adeline Hall. He was the seventh of nine children, preceded in eternity by Doris, Russell, Joyce, Marie, Sadie, and Ransford.

He attended St. Aloysius Boys High School. After finishing school he went into the family business, “Jamaica Mattress and Upholstering Supplies” as an apprentice, in which he learned the trade to become an upholsterer. In 1960 he went to work at the National Water Commission as an Upholsterer (the only one in the company) and as a carpenter.

Trevor loved playing sports such as soccer and cricket, at which he was a very good spin bowler. Although he loved to play the games, he never wanted to get dirty and always came to play cleaner than the others. His friends took pleasure in getting him dirty, to get him mad, but he always ended up laughing it off because he realized it’s all in the fun of the game. Trevor also loved to play dominoes - it was one of his favorite things to do. He always got more six “love” than he gave.

Trevor could DANCE! and, in his younger days would challenge anyone on the dance floor just for the fun of it.Trevor met Norma at Little Crew Road when he visited his aunt’s house, which was next door to her Uncle Dan’s house. After a few years of courtship they got married in 1963. Their marriage produced four children: Andrea, Sharon, Floyd and Leonard. In 1969 Trevor migrated to the United States and in 1971 his wife joined him and some years later the children joined them.
