Took some time before I could write this. Trev, you were a kind, caring, funny, intelligent, generous and thoughtful human being. Your love for Sarah and your lovely family was so evident and I know you were so proud of all of them. I have great memories of our short time together in 12 Regt, the start of a friendship that I will always cherish. Our time in the UAE cemented what everyone has echoed, I got to know the real Trev and you became a close friend who I could trust implicitly. The help you and Sarah gave Paula and I when the Twins were born will always stay with us, nothing was too much trouble. The alcohol induced capers are too many to list here but I'm smiling now at the memories, how did we get away with it? Your bizarre and quirky sense of humour was infectious and we belly laughed regularly. I will miss you and our times together but I'll always remember my great friend Trev. Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Rest in Peace. X

Deeply saddened to hear of Trev’s passing. We lost touch over the years as our paths went in different directions but I warmly remember our social times in Dortmund, as recruit instructors at Larkhill and on GCC 14 together; Mate, because of you I smiled a lot more and I laughed a lot harder; True Gentlemen – see you at the Final RV mate.

Its aways hard to find words when great sadness is involved. Yvonne and I have only known Trev and Sarah for a decade, but in that time we got to know Trevor well and considered him a friend. Trevor was a kind warm human being with a heart of gold. We will miss his smile and compassion. Gone but never forgotten, taken too soon. He lives on in our memories.

I have tried numerous times to write a tribute but just did not seem to find any words fitting enough, but here goes.
To Us, a definition of true friends is that is does not matter how long it’s been since we last saw each other, but how we are when we do get together. And this has always been the case with us! Trev was the biggest gentleman with the biggest sense of humour who always looked on the brighter side of life.
I personally felt so privileged to feel so much pain with your passing, the like of which you just do not feel unless that person is very special. And Trev, you were one of the most special people we have ever had the pleasure to call our friend.
You have left a huge hole in the lives of everyone around you and to say you will be missed is a great understatement.
Only one thing I will never ever understand about you Trev......................bananas on a BBQ ? Wrong! So very wrong!
Good night, god bless friend. Always. The Northerners

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Trevors passing. Me and Barry had the great pleasure of meeting Trevor some 12 years ago while on holiday in Dubai. Over the years while holidaying, meeting up with Trevor and Sarah was a annual event. We have lovely memories that we will treasure forever. Golf, meals and drinks out, races nights. Trevor was such a gentleman and fun to be around. It was a pleasure knowing you. RIP Trevor. Elaine and Barry. X

I only met Trevor 6 years ago when we both started working for the same company. One of life's true gentleman - honest, caring and good fun to be around. So dreadful for Trevor, Sarah and the family that he has been taken so early. God speed Trevor, it was an absolute pleasure knowing you.

I first met Trev at the RSA some 20 years ago and our paths led us working together for the same firm in the UAE. He was my one stop call for chat and loved to put the world to rights. He always made me smile with his dry wit humour, he was a true gent, and a great friend.

I remember a year ago when he said, ‘well mate, give us a hug, look after yourself, and see you in Blighty’, and with a man hug we said our farewells. I know he loved Sarah and the family so much and will leave a huge hole in the lives of so many. As a personal friend he will be sorely missed.

Taken too soon mate but never forgotten.

RIP peace digger and you’ll be always missed. All of us at work couldn’t believe the terrible news and are saddened by you passing. We’ll remember the many wets / brews / coffee’s we shared together as we tried to solve the SAT riddle and training conundrum poised by are unique position in the UAE. Our thoughts are with your family.

Trev and I first met in 1995 when we were instructors and mentors at recruit training. From very different military background, what developed was a fantastic friendship. He was a thoughtful yet happy go lucky character. He had a great sense of humour, which was dry and clever.

A short ditty – One fine morning I asked a recruit to nip over to the NAAFI for 20 Benson and Hedges for the Troop Commander. “What if they haven’t got Benson and Hedges,” said the recruit. “Just get anything you idiot,” Trev hollered. The young recruit came back with boot polish.

Trev was a good friend and a talented colleague. He will be very much missed.

See you at the final RV, my friend. UWC.

We had the pleasure of meeting Trev on a holiday to Dubai with mutual friends, on first meeting at the airport he was warm friendly and every so welcoming, he showed us the most amazing places and restaurants and welcomed us into his home, we encountered many laughs and giggles , I will never forget walking beside him in a shopping mall him telling me how much he loved shopping ( not the thing you would normally hear a man say ) , he was such a top bloke and impacted our lives. Our holiday in Dubai would never had been as fantastic without him and Sarah. Simon thought he was a top bloke. We all met again at Sarah’s 50th back in U.K. and again he made sure we all felt relaxed and had a good time. We have been privileged to meet such an adorable man. Taken far too soon . Will be sadly missed by so many.

To Trev.. It still feels so surreal that you are no longer here or at the end of the phone.
We always looked forward to Sarah coming home from Dubai and for you to follow with your big smile and witty humour, excited to see all the family and grandchildren and ready to make more great memories all together.

There’s so many amazing times I have had with you and the family since meeting Shane - holidays, experiences, trips to Dubai, our joint dislike for big rides at theme parks, the times you have taught me about culture and world facts, and your guidance to me and Shane about general things and various house/ garden jobs which we were so excited to share with you- mainly Vinnie’s play area which you were excited to help Shane with.

There were so many more memories still to be made and it still feels so unfair that you were taken far to soon. I couldn’t have asked for a better father in law.. so humble, kind, knowledgeable and with a heart of gold.
I will make sure that Vinnie knows his Gramps and the memory of you will always live on.

You will be sorely missed forever, sleep easy Trev- till we meet again xxxxxxx

I can't believe you have left us so young. I will always remember when you bought your red Series 3 BMW. Your pride and joy. You then spoilt it and bought a plastic M and said it was a BMW M series. God bless you and condolences to you family.

Trevor used to be in the driving school in Dortmund. I always remember him saying he would not let the student loose on the Rd with a pedal car let alone a tracked vehicle. Brilliant guy to work with always brought a smile to all who knew him.

Taken from us far too soon. As a person you always stood out for good reasons. I remember on an exercise where Trev did a stag during the night while we were in a harbour. He was a Detachment commander at the time and they traditionally didnt do stag. I asked why he had done that. He said if my guys are doing it I should do it as well. Allways selfless and a kind guy. Even though I have not seen him for 17 years, I know if I saw him again it would have been as though it was only yesterday we saw each other.

Trev,

What a kind, funny and generous man you were. Anytime I saw you you were always friendly & chatty, always made an effort to ask how we were.

I know how much you meant to Sarah, Stevie & Shane and the rest of the family and I’m heartbroken for them that you were taken so soon.

Please know I will be here for them in any way I can, things won’t be the same for them that’s for sure.

Keep watching over everyone Trev, especially those gorgeous grand babies of yours. You will be dearly missed.

Give my little boy a kiss up there, tell him I love him and if you don’t mind keep a little eye on him.

Rest in peace
All my love

Trevieeee,

One of my most favourite people in the whole wide world. I still can’t believe you are gone and we will never see you again . Life is just so cruel and I hate that it took you so soon we had so many plans and so many more memories to make.

The day you came into our lives was the best day ever you made mum so happy and we’re the best father figure I could have ever asked for. You took us in like we were your ow, You have guided me through life and saved me when I got sick . You helped me become who I am today and I will be eternally grateful for that. You also made it possible for me to follow my dreams of becoming a midwife, I promise I will finish this degree and make you proud.

I will treasure all the holidays, times and special memories we have. You meant the world to me and I honestly don’t know what I am going to do without you. I promise I’ll look after mum and shane as best I can.

I am so proud I got to give you your first grandchild, you we’re Hermiones most favourite person she loved her Gramps so much and she will miss you. I will always talk about you to her and keep your memory alive everyday . ❤️ I’m gutted you won’t get to see her grow and be cheeky I know how much you adored her.

I have so many amazing memories with you that I will treasure forever. You will always be in my heart forever.

Goodnight Trevieee, we will miss you more than words can ever say,

We love you so much... until we meet again

Dear Trev,
When I think of you I think of a family man, hard working, generous and lots of fun!

We met many years ago when you married Sarah, my best friend Stevie’s mum. You made the family whole again and provided a support like no other.

Ricky and I were privileged to have you and Sarah back in the UK to join us for our wedding in 2012. What fun it was!

You were the most amazing host when Ricky and I visited Dubai in 2014. You and Sarah welcomed us into your home and showed us what the UAE had to offer! We had an incredible holiday, one we will never forget and that was down to you. We will be forever grateful for that week we spent we you guys.

I’m so very sorry you left the world so early and that we will never have another drink all together. But know that we are here for Sarah, Stevie and the rest of the family.

RIP Trev, gone but never forgotten. xxx

RIP Trev, we had some good times, I can't believe you have passed. I remember going up to Newton Aycliffe when I first rejoined the regiment. We had a really great night, but the next day you borrowed my brand new BMW 320i and crashed it into a mini on a roundabout. We did laugh, not... You sorted it out with no bother to me.
When I was 9 Bty senior living in NCO, you were crap as a L/Bdr because you loved your pit. However you always produced the goods when required.
RIP my friend.
See you in the Bty Bar someday.
