Truman Smith, was born on May 24, 1952 to the late Robert C. Smith, Sr., and Eva Louise Smith. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Truman was a graduate of Bibb County High School. His work career began during his Junior and Senior year of High School as he would leave class early to drive his school bus routes. He worked for ABC Rail for 16 years and ended his career at Central Machine Fabrication.

Truman had a love for muscle cars and watching a good football game. He truly loved his family and friends who would always find him swinging underneath his shade tree. Truman’s name represented the true essence of his character.

He was united in holy matrimony to Nikita A. Smith on August 16, 1983. Through their union they had two sons.

He was a faithful member and steward of Waymon Chapel AME Church in Brierfield, AL.

Truman made his transition to his new home Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 2:46 p.m. at St. Vincent’s East Hospital surrounded by many of his loved ones.
