The daughter of the Sergeant First Class (Retired) Thomas, Jr. and Mrs. Sharon Black Lomax of Columbus, Tyesha was a 2006 graduate of Kendrick High School. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was employed in housekeeping at Martin Army Community Hospital. 

Survivors, other than her parents, include: her sister, Temika Lomax Houghton (Joshua); a brother, Thomas Lomax III; an aunt, Antonia Lomax; a loving and devoted cousin, Travon Lomax; a host of other relatives and friends.
