Tyrus accepted Christ as a young adult.  He graduated from Manchester High where he enjoyed playing football and basketball.   He was a truck driver for many years in Atlanta, Georgia.  

Tyrus leaves to cherish his memories a devoted mother, Irene Hunt (Wesley); father, Willie Hunt of Manchester, GA; His children, Chezzy Williams of Warm Springs, GA, Jasmine J. and Lakeish L. Martin of Newnan, GA, Arnecia S. Wallace and Quintyrus J. Rush of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Allene Dawson (Leon), Sheila Rush of Atlanta, GA, Pearl Hunt of Manchester, GA; step sister, Octavius Holt of Warm Springs, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved dearly; Shirlene Morris, special friend of the family.
