This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Uchechukwu Ezike-Dennis, 45 years old, born on July 24, 1975, and passed away on May 13, 2021. We will remember her forever.

Uche Ezike-Dennis
July 24, 1975–May 13, 2021
With heavy hearts and gratitude to God that we announce the transition to glory of Uche Ezike-Dennis. Uche was diagnosed with lung cancer in September 2020. She shared her cancer journey with us and fought like a warrior, but God wanted her back in Heaven.  She was loved and cherished by her husband CI (Emeka), her daughter Ifeanyi, sons Ikenna and Izunna, parents Leonard and Ebele Ufodike, sister Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu, and brother Akolisa Ufodike.
As we, grieve, we are comforted knowing that Uche was not ours only.   She touched the lives of many and was loved by all.
In many ways, she was too good for this world. She loved singing, was generous to a fault, loved people, loved salsa, loved the outdoors, wore a smile all the time, made being born again “cool” and held on to her faith till her last breath.
A Celebration of her life will be held on May 27th, 2021. Service details will be updated here once confirmed. To view and share photos, condolences, and stories of Uche, visit https://www.forevermissed.com/uchedennis/

Uche, you were a happy and lively spirit. Ever since meeting you, you never failed to bring me love, joy, and most importantly, comfort. I am so glad to have met a positive, exuberant person like you. You were definitely a person who was able to mirror the feelings of others, and act on them accordingly. Your love and passion for the Lord was one to be admired, as you gave me hope and strength in tough times. As you embark on your journey towards Heaven, I wish you nothing but happiness!

It is still like a dream that you are gone Uche!
We never had enough time and opportunity to enjoy your ever smiling, lively and effervescent sweet nature.
Nevertheless, God knows best and who are we to question Him. He called Uche home to be with Him.
We are in pain. We mourn.
Nevertheless, we do not mourn as people without hope, for Uche is sleeping in the Lord and will surely rise in Christ along with the saints on resurrection day. That is our hope so sleep on, Uche!

Uche, the news of your death has shocked me to my marrow. I still haven't come to terms with it. I remember you in Ujay, Christ Academy, Zoe Ministry and TGIF prayers all in Jos. Your smile and passion for prayers are entrenched in my mind. You were such a sweet soul. I know you're resting in Christ Jesus. May the Holy Spirit wrap his wings of comfort round your husband, children and your loved ones. We'll meet on resurrection morning.

Looking at the pictures we took the last time you came to visit us in the Uk, a very quick one it was. Little did I know it was going to be the last time too Uche.
Your inside out beauty, your friendliness, your good nature, all adds to your charm and uniqueness.
You will be very much missed but we will never forget you.
Uche - like your visit, you left too soon...

Though I am sure we’ll see again.

Uche, from the first day I met you at a baby shower you organized in your home for a mutual friend, I was intrigued at how just one person could exhibit so much joy, smiles, laughter, and care. You were definitely a people person and you loved much. We kept in touch after that, up until six days before your passing. Your faith in God was and continues to be an inspiration to me even as you walked through death's dark shadow. We will definitely miss your beautiful personality on earth and I look forward to hanging out with you in heaven!

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to have crossed paths in this lifetime. I'll miss her beautiful voice and our supportive discussions. Sending love and light to all Uche's family.

One cannot help but think of Uche when reading Proverbs 31. So full of virtue! It’s very hard to encapsulate this amazing woman in a few words. Uche, you will be missed and your impact will never be forgotten. Rest well!

Uche graduated with her Executive MBA here at Queen's University last spring. As the program manager I was lucky to get to know her over her time with the program. Her team Calgary C was one of the best teams we have ever had... a team who always had the most fun together. And that was in no small part because of Uche - she was filled with laughter, was always smiling and brought so much to her team and this class. She will be missed. Condolences to her family, friends, her team - Derek, Jackie, Kevin, Shawn, Vince - and the entire EMBA class of 2020.

This is the saddest loss of a person I have experienced since my late father. Aunty Uche was one of the sweetest and coolest person I've ever met, very kind, cheerful, encouraging and full of positivity. She's a good christian woman. I can't imagine the enormous grief that uncle Emeka and the kids are going through right now. I'm a bit relieved that her passing was somewhat expected but still very sad that we lost her at such a young age. This loss hits really hard. May God heal our broken hearts.

This has cut really deep.

Such that makes us grown men weep.

Our hearts are broken, and we cry.

Over and over, we'll question why

It's so much pain, we can't deny.

Still cannot believe she is gone

We've lost a special one

But death hasn't really won.

Because in our hearts, memories of her will live on.

Uche, we say farewell to you,

We attest that to yourself and God you were true.

And yes, no one can please everyone,

But I am certain we'll hear a lot of good testimonies now you're gone.

Your sojourn on earth was but a brief stay,

And you treated with kindness, those that came your way.

But in the end it really doesn't matter what people have to say.

It's God's approval you need at the end of the day.

And we are certain at heaven's gate you'll hear these words,

'Well done, good and faithful servant.... Enter into the joy of the Lord.'

One cannot do enough to pay tribute to someone who has so positively impacted the lives of several loved ones, friends and family across the world....Uche loved the Lord with all her body, soul, talent and heart. Meeting and knowing you has been a blessing and I will forever remain grateful for that.

Helen Keller said " What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us" Uche you will forever be missed.......our comfort is knowing how deep you loved the Lord and your last few months on this earth. I watch your journey videos and songs, and I get comforted knowing you are resting peacefully with the Lord.

Our prayers is that those you left behind be strengthened by the Lord. Rest in Peace

OUR UCHE IS GONE!

Uche! Uche! Uche! How has the mighty fallen!  I can’t believe that you have passed on.

Strictu sensu, you were one of the finest women that I ever met with such a pure heart, totally dedicated to Lord Jesus, always soft-spoken, adorable, and beautiful to behold with a golden voice and a singer of immeasurable standard. You were a highly virtuous woman, a respectable mother, and a gift to your husband.

I still find it hard to believe that I won’t see you again. I remember with all sense of joy, the times we spent together as a family. What a world? In any case, I thank God that you gave your life to Jesus and transitioned to Glory.

Death is inevitable as all of us will pass on someday. I believe that you finished your assignment on earth conclusively. Congratulations!

I hope that we will meet someday in heaven in Jesus’ name.

I will give a token of CAD$2,000 towards an endowment fund for your beautiful children.

Adieu!!!

Apostle Ausbeth Ajagu, Ph.D.

When I read a few minutes ago about your transition to glory, I was shocked and speechless. The last time we connected was a few months ago when I shared a request for awareness on change in our education system in Alberta. Little did I know that as the last time I will be communicating with you on this side of eternity. My connection with you though brief, was impactful. My hope and prayers for your family is that your legacy will continue in their hearts, the LORD's comforting Presence will be imminent in their lives as they go through.

Uche... I never got the opportunity to meet you in person; however, heard so much about you and your love and passion for the Kingdom, also expressed through your music ministrations. We are sad and mourn; however, we also rejoice for the life you lived and being confident that you are in a much better place. The strength and positive attitude you exhibited through the last year shows that you were in a good place. May our Heavenly Father who has called you home strengthen and comfort your family at this time. Rest in peace eternally...

Uche...
I first met her at The Fountain of Life Church about 23 years ago.
Her smile lit up the entire auditorium.
Her passion for Christ, life and people won the hearts of multitudes.
She was authentic and intentional with every thing, right down to the minutest detail.
And her love for music...well...
Heaven has indeed gained an angel.

It is indeed with heavy hearts that we learn of Ps Uche's passing. We met Ps Uche and Ps CI at Rhema Bible Church and attended the homecell together in SA. As a family you guys lived the bible in a way unimaginable and influenced young couples and wider community. Ps Uche really fought the good fight until the end. Our deepest condolences to Ps CI, the kids and family at large. We have all lost but take comfort in knowing that Ps Uche is absent from the body but present with the Lord. Be comforted and you're in our prayers.

Betty Boo, You were such an Angel. You touched lives even without trying. Sometimes, I think the Lord is taking His angels early so that they don’t continue in this depraved world. Rest well my dear sister. Till we meet again at the resurrection.

REST IN PEACE Uche. I remember Uche when she led our homecell with her husband Pastor CI here for Rhema.South Africa. I am saddened by her passing cause we had just recently reconnected. We were planning to reconnect our kids virtually cause they were close when they were younger. Uche embodied what a prayerful believer God-fearing woman should be. It was a loss for us here in SA when they moved away. She did this believing better than all of us. I.spoke to my sister earlier today  who stay in a different province remembering how she would break out in song to encourage everyone. How she would start praying when anyone started complaining about life issues. My sisters and I  remember how we would go over to Uche and Pastor CI's house for prayer on any day when they came to Johannesburg and she would welcome us warmly. When she was in SA we spend every week, every birthday of each of our kids together..thank you lord for sharing this Angel with us. Rest in power Angel. May God watch over your Kids. Pastor CI she lives forever in your heart ❤Prudence
