Youmay, words cannot express the heartbreak our family felt after the phone call that announced your death. Grief and sadness came over our family especially as our children, Oriaku, Kalu and Dirichi Njoku came to terms with the loss of their "Uncle Youmay." You were a legend, a sound personality, a rare mover, great achiever and wonderful person. You were a bridge between the young and young at heart, a friend of all, and indeed an enigma. You were simply a wonder to behold, an empathetic individual ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of others and humanity. Your personality drew people from far and near to have a share of your unique nature. You believed in the development of human capital with emphasis on education. In your sickness, you proved competency in your serving God. Your last moment with my children was very educational and inspiring to them.  Youmay, no doubt your death is painful. It has created a vacuum for us your Akanu family, especially your sisters and brothers. For sure, you will be missed dearly but never forgotten. Even though the world has lost a great man, heaven has gained a true guardian angel.

Rest in Glorious Peace! Till we meet again!

Dr. JAK Njoku, Nina, Oriaku, Kalu and Dirichi Njoku
