Before I Leave This Earth

May 14, 2011

Before I leave this earth there are things that I must do, I want to see your smile again and spend some time with you.

Before I leave this earth there are things that I must do, I have to call that place again because my bills are due. I hate to leave these things undone, you know just how I do.

Before I leave this earth there are things that I must do, I hoe you know I'll miss you all and I love each and every one of you.

Before I leave this earth there is so much I want to say, God knows best my children so he chose to take me away. He erased my fears, wiped away my tears and gave me happiness here.

So cry your tears, keep your memories and share a laugh or two but don't be sad for long my kids that's not Gods plan for you.

Beauty is her name

    Beauty Was Her Name

by: Angela Branson

She didn't kiss my scraped knees..

She didn't teach me thank you and please..

But I still call her Mother.

Her body did not nurture my own seed,

But, still, she fulfilled a tremendous need

And loved me like no other.

God knew what He was doing in two thousand seven

When He moved me next door to my own piece of heaven.

She loved me like her own..

Sometimes she'd talk all day.. Other times she was reticent.

When I was feeling sad or sick, she'd always feed me medicine,

Even tho I was surely grown.

She prayed with me.. She prayed for me.

She stayed with me.. She stayed for me.

I did not have to receive this blessing in life,

But Fate felt I deserved a break in my strife.

She taught me to TRULY live.

Secret meetings on the back porch after dark..

Between neighborly exchanges, a friendship did spark.

My love and admiration, I freely give.

She was an angel, and of course, she still is..

Before she was mine, she was always His..

Dear Mother has returned Home.

She leaves her wisdom and spirit behind..

Taught me to seek something I truly could find.

My soul no longer to roam.

Your lessons I will continue to mind..

Your heart is truly one of a kind..

Your hair, although, I'll no longer comb,

But Mama, I'll see you when I get Home.
