Valentine John Bettin was a renowned voice actor, from La Crosse, Wisconsin.
He was born on July 8, 1923. During the 1940s, he studied in England, where he met his future wife, Hildy Pender. The two wed in 1950 then moved to Iowa, where Val became a teacher. Val would later go on to become a prominent voice actor in film, television and other media. He was known for his roles in many animated films, including for Disney and Dreamworks, and distinctively used an English accent for most of his characters.
Val was predeceased by his wife Hildy in 2007. He died on January 7, 2021 in Ventura, California and is buried at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park with Hildy.
