For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. R.I.P Valentine Simo.
May Valentine's gentle soul Rest In Peace...Amen

THANKS
I just returned from Cameroon. After being away for 11 years, it was wonderful to be back and see all the changes and see everyone after such a long time, and yet I was very saddened that I was there, not to visit as we had planned we would do in September, but to bury my baby. The flight home was difficult because I just kept thinking about him being in the cargo area. Funny thing is, I was talking to Vally some months back about travelling in 1st class, and we said we would do that together, and so I was rather surprised when I was upgraded to business class on Brussels airlines (which, believe me, is very much like first class anywhere!) because I was flying home with my husband. They even asked if I wanted to board first, and I was just thinking, "Wow! Vally would have loved this!).
Well, enough about that. I would like to give Thanks! First, I would like to give all honor and glory to God, and to thank Him for taking us through this difficult time. I thank God for strength. God is good indeed! And I know He has plans to give us a future and a hope.I would like to thank all those who have contributed to this webpage in remembrance of my Valentine. He will always be remembered. I thank my sister, Aza for her hard work in setting up this memorial website and managing it. Thanks to everyone who called to check on me and mourn with me, or attempt to console me. And for those who got my voice mail, and whose calls I haven't even responded to yet, thanks for calling. Thanks to Vally's family for their support through this hard time, and I thank my family as well. Thanks to everyone for their prayers. Thanks for all the food and drinks for Samuel and I - my fridge overfloweth. Thanks for those who made it to the wake in Maryland and to the Simo family for handling everything and making the Wake in MD a success. Thanks to all the friends who came to New York to help me set up for the NY viewing and wake keeping and those in New York who did the cooking and decorations. And especially to Val's friends here, who set up most of everything. I really appreciate everything. Thanks to his colleagues at Isabella Geriatric center, and thanks to his teachers and the Nursing class at Lehman College and at Meritt and all those who came here to condole with the family. Most of all, thanks to all of you who made contributions or donations of any kind. Your kind support is greatly appreciated, and because of you, I was able to take my husband home to rest.
That was his fervent wish - to go home, and I am happy that it was accomplished with your help. So, again, I say thank you. Vally was buried in his village, Batie, in the West region of Cameroon on August 25th, 2012. May his soul and the souls of all the dearly departed rest in peace, perfect peace! Amen.
A unique student
You were one of the wonderful students that came through my pathway. Your humility, smile, dedication, handworking and love for the profession of caring for the people will never be forgotten. R.I.P.

Vally, my heart bleeds. I can not believe you are no more. " Colleague" as we fondly called each other. I remember that faithful day of May 2004 when we meet at the american embassy in Yde. We were both given our visas on that day. We got in the USA in summer 2004, we kept contact since then. We called each other and share our experience. Colleague RIP , i can not even write because my keyboard is all wet. All i can do is to put the family you are leaving behind in my prayers.
Till we meet again.
RIP my dear friend and brother.
