To Victor Snr, Arlene, Mag, Victor and their Families

Words cannot contain the feeling at this time, but on behalf of our Dad Luke Meade and the rest of my siblings, we extend our sincere condolences at this moment.

Though some are far away, their thoughts are with you as you journey through this day.

"1 Corinthians 15:55-57

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Cousin Valerie we loved you and we miss you.

God Bless

A lovely dignified Christian lady gone too soon from a country needing citizens of quality. Like the King's daughter, she was glorious within.

Sympathies to her family. Joy in the fact that she served well.

May the constant love of caring friends soften your sadness. May cherished memories bring you moments of comfort. May lasting peace surround your grieving heart.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but loves leaves a memory no one can steal.

On behalf of my family I would like to express our deepest sympathy to you the James family.

Always remember that words can’t wipe away your tears. Hugs won’t ease your pain, but hold on to you memories. Forever they’ll remain.

Teacher Valerie, you were a special Lady. I will miss your stirring contributions during the Sabbath school lesson when we had conventions, also your enjoyable Sabbath Schools. I was always uplifted. We will miss you but God saw it fit to take you home.

To Brother Victor and the rest of the family, my deepest condolences.

Although it is still difficult to comprehend you leaving us. It has been a pleasure knowing you. You always gave of your best and ensured those of us especially at New Life Congregation were treated with dignity and respect. I am not sure wjo will be able to fill those shoes you wore in your various roles as a church member/ Officer. It was indeed an honour knowing you. Sleep on until the resurrection. We love and miss you.

To Victor, the children and grandchildren, weep if you must, but know that "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!"

Working closely with Valerie over the years, especially last year in preparation for the 100 Anniversary of Adventism I was reminded that she was very particular and loved her Lord and her church dearly.

As she sleeps now awaiting the call of the life giver, "mourn not as others who have no hope".

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11:23-26

Our deepest condolences

The best of us:

Barzeys and Sweeneys
Begins to mourn
We never know the rest of the story until the
Best of the story continues …
You gave us …
Friendship
Goodwill
Sincerity
Mentoring
Teachers can only give the best of themselves
The inner essence that comes out motivates and inspires
Salem and St. John’s Alumni
Begins to mourn
You gave us …
Help
Discipline
Knowledge
Encouragement
Which brought out the best of us
The rest of us are left here to carry on
And you left us the best of you …
Victor, Arlene and Magdalene
Continue to mourn and are left to carry on
We will give them …
Consolation
Cheer
Comfort
Reassurance
And again before the last time we spoke
I will remember you simply as Teacher Valerie
You will continue to give us …
Impetus
Courage
Hope
Fond Memories
And the best of the story is your story
The story of your life which is simply this …
You gave your all.

She always leaned to watch for us
Anxious if we were late,
When it rains by the window,
In sunshine by the gate.

And though we mocked her tenderly
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because she waited there.

Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget,
And so I think that where she is
She must be watching yet.

Waiting 'til we come home to her
Anxious if we are late
Watching from Heaven's window
Leaning on Heaven's gate.
