Valerie Kezirian Frank, 62, passed away July 31, 2017. After being diagnosed in January with a rare cancer, she fought hard for the following seven months. She spent most of her last weeks at home with loved ones before peacefully passing at Saint Vincent Medical Center Southside.

Mrs. Frank was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. Her entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment and sale of numerous successful small businesses.

Mrs. Frank devoted her life to serving God and His children. She participated in a Christian ministry of home Bible studies, which brought her to various places around the country. She led many people to discover the love of God and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. She often welcomed people in her home and was always willing to help in any way she could. Through the years and trials, Valerie's faith remained her cornerstone - the foundation and basis of which her life was built around.

Mrs. Frank leaves her loving husband, Richard Kocak; three children, Nathan Frank (Amanda) of Washington D.C., Stephanie A. Frank of Honolulu, HI, and George M. Frank (Rachel) of Columbus AFB, MS; a sister, Rev. Jennifer K. West (Benjamin) of Cranston, RI; two brothers, Wayne M. Kezirian (Betty) of Cranston, RI and Dr. Guy M. Kezirian (Mary) of Paradise Valley, AZ; a stepmother, Shirley Kezirian of Sarasota, FL; and a grandson, Benson.

Valerie lived her life by this, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6. She will be loved and missed by many.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 11 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Viewing hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hardgae-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel.

I met your mom in a small group at CFC. She is such an amazing woman. I loved her spunk and her directness which as a NY'ker in the south I loved!!!! She will be missed and I am broken hearted to hear of her passing. I remember her love for the Lord and his word. I am grateful to have known her and spent time getting to know her. Even after our small group we stayed in contact whenever I would see her online. This has touched me deeply and I am praying for you all and know she was loved by many! Please accept my condolences and my prayers for God to comfort you all during your time of bereavement.
