Ms. Valerie Shavon Cooper, was born at Bullock County Hospital in Union Springs, Alabama on August 19, 1989 to Mr. Tommy Lee Cooper and Mrs. Darlean Cooper.

Valerie confessed Jesus Christ at the age of five and was baptized July 9, 1995 by the late Pastor Dennis Pugh, Sr. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, Alabama.

Valerie was a loving, dedicated, compassionate, motivated daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, sister-in-law, co-worker and friend.

Valerie graduated from Bullock County High School on May 26, 2007.

Valerie graduated from High Tech Institute in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. Valerie received her Associate Degree in Science as a Medical Assistant. Valerie was employed at Walgreens in Roswell, Georgia. She was a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and an Accounting Specialist Receiver for seven years.

Valerie departed this life Sunday, February 22, 2015, in Roswell, Georgia on Holcombe Bridge Road. A homegoing celebration was held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of First Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lewis Pastor, officiating. Words of comfort were delivered by Rev. Henry Streeter, Pastor of Hayes Hill Baptist Church and New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Interment followed immediately afterwards in the Perpetual Care Cemetery.

Valerie was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John T. Thomas and Tommy Washington; great grandfathers, Roosevelt Rodgers and John Thomas; grandmother, Bessie Mae Cooper; great grandmothers, Clinnie Mae Rodgers and Earlie B. Thomas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Valerie leaves to cherish her memories a wonderful loving devoted father and mother, Tommy Lee Cooper, Sr. and Darlean Cooper both of Union Springs, Alabama; a wonderful loving devoted brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Lee Cooper, Jr. and LaQuang M. Cooper, Montgomery, Alabama; two wonderful loving devoted nephews Tommy Lee Cooper, III, Dallas, Georgia, and Andraes Jackson, Montgomery, Alabama, a wonderful loving devoted niece Jasmine Mason, Montgomery, Alabama, and a host of wonderful loving aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, friends and whosever path God allowed her to cross.
