Her Life
April 14, 2015

Varion Yvette Morgan Ascardi was born June 1, 1948 in Huntsville, Alabama to the parentage of the late Luther B. Morgan, Sr. and Maggie G. Morgan. She departed this life at Oak View Nursing Home, Waverly Hall, Georgia on Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was preceded in death by her brother, Luther B. Morgan, Jr.

Yvette was a graduate of Rehobeth High School, Fairfax, Alabama, and she attended Alabama A. & M. University in Huntsville, Alabama.

She married Tommy Ascardi. Later Yvette became the mother of four children, Crystal, Margerita, Demetrius, and Tamicia.

Loving adventure, Yvette traveled extensively throughout the nation. Often she connected with a church wherever she was residing. Locally she became a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Lanett, Alabama.

Even though she relocated a lot, because she was a gregarious person, she established relationships quickly and was well liked by most of those she encountered. She was also analytical and was often quite determined in her decision making.

She is survived by three daughters, Crystal Ascardi, Margerita Ascardi, Tamicia (Jamore) Currie, and her son, Demetrius Morgan of Columbus, OH, six grandchildren, her mother, Maggie Grant Morgan, Lanett, Al; three brothers, Wendell (Julia) Morgan, Newnan, GA; Kenneth (Margaret) Morgan, Ocean, NJ; and Marty Morgan, Tuskegee, AL; one sister, Margaret (James) Maddox of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Thelma Hughley, Columbus, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
