I met Velma when I came to Boise to student teach under her from U of I in 1977. 2 elementary schools. Valley View and Mt View. The next year she had some surgery and was out for a quite a bit of time. I stepped in and taught for her. In my career as a music teacher, I followed her way of teaching, Orff etc. My only regret is that I didn’t visit her enough. Carry on sweet Velma, you were my shining star!

Been gone almost 2 years. Still missing you so much. Go and visit your grave often helps to cope with you being gone love you with all my heart. Almost a year the first year is upon us my heart still breaks ever time I think of you momma you was loved so much and you are still missed I talk to Jesus every day and tell him how lucky he is to have you until we meet again momma you are my angel you are always in my thoughts and it really gets tough at times but I know Jesus is taking really good care of you because he knows what kind of lady you was so until we meet again fly high momma I will never let your memory die

Thanksgiving. Is 3 days away dont no how im gonna get thru it i miss you so much not having you here tears my heart up didnt no a heart could go thru so much acke but when i lost you i lost everything you was my world. Its hard out here without you they say it gets easier. I loved velma with all my heart as a sister-in-law.we had some good times in our lifes together.she was a heck of a cook.
