ForeverMissed

As Shankar, Thammudu, Anna, Baava, Alludu, Nanna, Babai, Venkata at work and recently Mavayya he asked for so little but gave so very much! He was the pampered little kid for his parents and brothers, grew to be a responsible and caring individual, fun loving cousin, treasured as a loving son-in-law, caring & loving husband and a doting father and uncle. His attitude was to be open to life, unpretentious, be happy, responsible and present for the family. Always known to have warm smile on him, to be shy and reserved on his outlook, he was a man of many moods but mostly caring, happy, vibrant, joyful, and childlike personality with his family and kids.

Its being without him that we ll never get used to and our lives will never be the same. He was gone too soon and young. And Goodbyes hurt the most when the story is unfinished. But we want to hold onto dearly the love, smile, hope and memories he shared with us.

This memorial is created to help share those stories and memories with all who has touched his life in their own beautiful way and an aspect of him that can give us the strength to deal with the untimely loss of his passing. He always smiled, loved a good celebration and his life needs to be celebrated.

Please do share stories, incidents, interactions , memories or pictures with him .. we would treasure them forever!

Love,
Manasa

Venkata will always be remembered as a hardworking, smiling and strong person. He will be always missed by all of us in HCL. It's a deep shock for all of us, still can't believe. I wish there was a power given to human being by God to get your loved ones back. He is gone too soon but will always be remembered forever.
Looking at his small twins kids, I felt short of words and condolences. His family is always in my thoughts and prayers.
May god give his family all strength to bear this huge loss. Lost souls never goes anywhere, they are with us always. His memories will always be cherished forever.

Ravi Shankar was my classmate during B.Tech. All his classmates remember him for his cheerfulness and a pleasant smile. He was an introvert and a gentle soul. May god give his family all the strength and courage.

I am his Hcl friend. Even though i met him for the first time in Oregon. We became good friends during short time. There are plenty of fun filled memories with him. I cannot forget the room i shared with him, Gym we went together, sports we played together, celebrations we were part of, more than anything else the fun, chatting time we spent would always be missed and cherished till my last breath. A friend like him will be definitely missed. He was kind, benevolent, fun loving, and mood changer for me at times. We miss you my friend.!!!

I worked with Venkat in Plano. He was gem of a person. It is difficult to find such nice people these days. So calm, decent, kind hearted and so hard working. He used to deal with all challenges and difficulties in life very bravely yet composed. I don't think anyone who came across him would ever be able to forget him and will always remember him in good light. I wish that God gives strength to his near and dear ones to deal with this sadness.

“Ravi Shankar”... is what I used to call this guy who always used to come ‘tuck in’ & smart to college with smile and shy on his face. We did many small projects in engineering labs and we always enjoyed each other’s company. He always maintained positivity throughout the course and carried a smiling and shy face. One of the thing I learned from him was ... maintaining calmness and smile on face regardless of the situation. My friend ... may ur soul rest in peace

I am his Babai. He comes to me very affectionately and calls me Babai. When we married he is just 2 years old. I still remember his childhood playing. He is always Cheerful, Caring and lively person. Mostly introvert and dont involve in others matters.  As there is a saying God takes good people early. This is very true in case of Shankar. May his soul rest in peace. His loss is unbearable to his family and his 2 little daughters.. I pray God to give courage to withstand this loss of Shankar.

Venkata was very quiet, charming and hardworking person I had in the team! He was a silent achiever with a smile on his face.
I still remember his smiling face when I met him last physically in Vermont office.
May God rest his soul in peace and give strength to the family

His Life
June 10, 2021
For you have been, All my life's Joy, My Love, My Pride

                         Words could never express
                                Exactly how I feel
                         How, until we meet again,
                           My heart will never heal.
                       You were so understanding
                         So gentle, kind and good
                    And, whenever I had problems,
You'd help me all you could.
I miss you so very much
                       Throughout every single day
And take comfort in the memories
                           That will never fade away.

His battle with Covid.

June 9, 2021
Being the most careful and health conscious person that he is, unfortunately he was infected with COVID in first week of May. Me and the kids were at Vijayawada at that moment and we took online medical consultation and managed to deliver medicines and food for him. And I went back to support him leaving the kids behind in VJA. We got the scan, blood work and direct doctor consultation and relieved that the diagnosis showed mild symptoms. His symptoms withdrew in the next couple of days, he was eating better. His saturation maintained at 97. After few days, he developed some cough and we went back to doctor and he prescribed some steroids and an extra cough syrup. We waited for a day and the cough was not going away, we took multiple doctor consults and they said the infection became moderate and we had to admit him if saturation goes below 90. His was maintaining around 92-94. And on 15th morning, the saturation was at 84 and he was rushed to AIG Hospitals(So grateful for Ramanadham mavayyagaru for arranging for the hospital admission at such short notice). We were relieved that he got the best care in such hospital scarcity situation. His real battle has started and he has been very brave and confident at all times. He was supposed to be put up in the ICU but ended up doing better in general ward. He got Plasma therapy. But 3 days later, his oxygen sats have been declining and he went on to require C-PAP and into ICU. He stayed strong and was taking all the pain in a composed manner with hope. He was given Toclizumab, after which he got better and his oxygen requirements came down. All of us believed he was on the path to recovery. But next day, he developed shortness of breath, lost his patience and in few hours went on to a mechanical ventilator. He still fought for 5 days , but the infection got the better of him and he lost bravely on his battle with COVID. His thoughts were always about family during this time especially the kids. We all realized the cruelty of this pandemic firsthand.

Treasured Childhood in Challapalli!

June 9, 2021
Born into a family of hardworking and caring parents in Challapalli, Andhra Pradeshhe was the youngest of his three brothers. He had most joyful and loving and pampered childhood. He was instilled with roots of family values, love for family and respect to his elders and zest for life. He enjoyed playing a lot of cricket in his childhood. It was his favorite sport till today. He went on to finish his schooling there and was prepared to go out of town for higher studies. He always cherished his childhood memories as being the most joyous, fun and memorable. He shared a very strong family bond with his parents and brothers though they were studying at various places.

An ever smiling friend

June 10, 2021
We both did engineering together and for all our friends he was someone who always be smiling. Never used to talk ill about anyone. He did his schooling in Sunflower high school and used to boast a lot about the school. We used to tease him asking how the school is whenever we met. Can't imagine the pain the family might be going through. We can only pray for the family to give them all the strength in the world to get through this.
