Dear Friends, Colleagues and Family members,

Venu was always passionate about supporting children and their education worldwide. In lieu of flowers, the family desires that his friends, family and colleagues to make contributions to either of the options https://www.unicef.org/ and https://healcharity.org/india/about-us/working-tog... . This is the best way to cherish his memory and also keep his passion alive.

I am one of the fortunate ones to have spend few years working with Venu in Travelers and its really hard to believe that he is not with us anymore. All my meetings ,discussions ,interactions ,parties with him are flashing from last one week and it will not stop anytime soon. Although I have not been in touch over the last few years , I have always looked up to him to be my mentor and guide. He played a big role in shaping my career unknowingly. Talking to him was enough motivation for me to keep up with the project pressure. I very well remember the first design discussion meeting with him way back in June 2012 which changed everything for me. There cannot be a star brighter than him who has touched so many lives just by being himself with his energy ,smile and compassion for everyone around him. May your soul rest in peace !!

With heavy heart and teary eyes, finally I could muster courage to write... it took me so long to accept that Venu is no more with us... to be honest, I still feel, it can't be true. Such a noble and a thorough gentleman cannot leave us so early. I and Venu go a long way in sharing our technical passion and deep mutual respect for each other. I will always treasure his last message: “…You have been a very positive influence in my life and I thoroughly enjoyed working with you and enjoyed your passion for work and technology…” Even though he was younger than me (he used to address me as Bharati ji), I used to consider him as a Guru and a mentor, so much so, that I took his help in deciding for my son’s undergrad college. His magnanimity never made me feel like a vendor and I always felt like an extended Travelers family. I guess we might be the only crazy folks to share another passion - of taking up Uber driving just for fun… My heartfelt condolences to your family Venu. I pray to God to give them strength to bear your loss. You will be thoroughly missed. ॐ शान्तिः। सद्गतिर्भूयात्। Om Shanti Sadgatirbhuyaat. I've always seen Venu with boundless energy, passionate at anything and everything he does, full of warmth and positivity. Very saddening to hear this and hard to believe the fact that he is not with us now. One thing I always wish I could learn from him was to keep the spirits up with a smile regardless whatever situation we're thrown into. Started our association at workplace and he became a very good friend soon after. There is nothing in this world that he thinks not worthy to learn and love to share what he knows. He taught me the basics on baseball just as we're walking by Hudson. I remember him telling me that he loves to teach and likes to pursue that when he retires. Times such as these makes us feel so helpless and cannot do anything except Wishing Jyothy, kids and family to gather all strength and courage. Dear Venu, you'll be missed greatly and be in our thoughts forever.

Venu is one of the greatest inspiring persons I have worked with. He is very good human being and he cares for everyone. He has lot of energy and enthusiasm and spread it with others like fire. He is the one of the few customers who cared for consultant’s career and shared his thoughts on achieving career growth. It is a great loss for everyone who knows Venu. My heartfelt condolence to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

I was shocked when I got to know that you are no more with us, working and interacting with you was always a pleasure. A bundle of energy, joy, curiosity and zest to learn and explore new things, caring and loving person are a few things that come to my mind when I close my eyes and recall the interactions. The last time we met, you made chicken specially for me during my keto - diet period when you invited me home. No words can console your family right now, I hope the Chalagolla family members get strength to handle the great loss.

Venu Babai, you will be forever missed by everyone. You left so many good memories for me to cherish. I love you so much and will miss you a lot. You made me smile so much and you were always so happy. You were my Godfather and you always have me the best advice. You told me to set my goals and follow them. You are the biggest extrovert I have ever met. You are so kind hearted, hard working, and bubbly. I will always remember you and you will always be my favorite uncle! Your soul is now in a better place and I hope you Rest In Peace! I love you so much and I will miss you tons!! Love, Simi (Bulli)

I know Venu from our time at Harvard Business School. Venu was my bench mate. In our row were Peter, Venu, me and Ali in that order and rest assured it was the section in our classroom which had high level of participation in the class. Venu was full of ideas, he emphasized on connections over impressions, and shared with great pride about his family and children. We talk about diversity, equity and inclusion but Venu exemplified and approached diversity, equity and inclusion with full awareness. He was the lead during the ideation process to host Diwali at HBS. A Diwali, that, I think the entire cohort and HBS learnt about our culture, food, music, and society. Few people make life as approachable and enjoyable as Venu did. GMP25 misses you, HBS misses you. GMP25 adores you. Your ingenuity, colleagueship, and friendship with be missed by the entire class. Dear Samiha, Arsh, and Neev, we join in the sorrow with you and wish you great strength in the memories of your dearest father who was ever so proud of you. Dear Jyothy, My deepest sympathy for your immense loss. I wish you great strength and courage.

My deepest condolences go to Jyothi, his children and family. Here is my tribute to my friend Venu, a true one-of-a-kind person in more wonderful ways than I can count as attested to by these many dozens of fine tributes herein. My words seem to fall so far short to the wonder of the greatness of this man, this leader, this friend. But here are a few that rise from my heart. • Ever so kind, loving and caring. • Always so helpful, smart and positive. • Uniquely focused on those he was with to uplift, brighten & encourage. • Amazingly thoughtful, compassionate and willing to help. • Forever, the “diesel” engine of love, hard work and honesty. • Trustworthy beyond and forever missed will be this man of integrity! Let us all do our best to live and carry forth his impact and imprint left on us to the people with whom we touch every day in every way.

When we moved to Connecticut my son became friends with his sons. Venu welcomed us to the area and his family with a warm personality and embrace. He was always happy to go out of his way to support our boy's growing friendship. We will miss his presence in our community.

Venu has a very special spot in a lot of our hearts, and he will never be forgotten. We are going to miss his infectious smile and welcoming attitude .He was kind, compassionate, and a true gentleman. Sadly there are few people like that in the world today and he would be really missed by his friends and family. A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. Deep condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Venu’s family.

I have known Venu for last 20 years. Me and Venu were colleagues in same team during our early career days at Dell and became good friends. Venu is big guy with good heart and known for his simplicity, fun loving and friendly nature. Over last couple of years after Venu moved to connecticut, I used to meet him at annual conference. Each of these meetings was good time together and I used to look forward to meeting him each year. Last time I met Venu was in Fall 2017 where we talked about good spirit of life and health - one conversation which will be in my mind forever. It is shocking to know that Venu is no more. Venu's presence will be missed much by his dear ones. My prayers and sincere condolences to Jyothi and family.

As with so many who have commented before me, I know Venu from working with him at Travelers. His "we can do this" answer to any problem, and his commitment to his teams made him an awesome partner. Personally, what I will miss most is hearing his voice coming up behind me saying "Miss Ann" and seeing that amazing smile as soon as I turned around. No matter what was one my mind, that moment of seeing him there lightened the load. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, and hope that these brief words from so many of us offer comfort.

I am remembering Venu and all of his family in prayer during this very sad time. He made a very positive impact on so many. Sending my deepest sympathy....

These lives of ours can be so unfair; the kindest sometimes suffer the most. I never heard a cross word from Venu. His honesty, generosity, and deference struck me from the day I met him. My deepest sympathies to Venu's family. So deeply sorry for your loss. The world is just that bit darker without Venu. The rest of us can only attempt to follow his example.

There are very few people who are good leaders, who constantly inspire us and makes us feel Leaders still exist. Venu is one of them. He is so down to earth, very collaborative, doesn't look at the hierarchy. Highly passionate at work, technically sound, encourage and support talent and help them in their career growth. Happy that i got a chance to interact on multiple occasions with such a kind of person. He will be missed by many! My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Goodbye my friend. I am grateful for having known you and I am glad that the last time we met we greeted one another with a hug, and left one another with a laugh.

The sadness and shock that we have all expressed this week is a tribute to the amazing impact that Venu had on all of us personally and professionally. He taught me so much on many technical topics, and I always respected the way he worked and how he built teams. He was always smiling even when you knew he might be tired or frustrated. We will miss him as a thought leader in our company and as a colleague and most of all as a dear friend.

I have known Venu for just a few months through work and he has had a lasting impression on me. He was the embodiment of humility, kindness and a constant positivity. He had the kind of "CAN DO" attitude that I have rarely seen. No task was hard enough. "We will figure it out together" he would say. He will be sorely missed. To Venu's family and friends - Please accept my condolences. May God give you strength in this very difficult time.

About 8 years ago when traveling to Hartford, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Venu. Even though this was the first time I had sat down to speak with him, I felt like I had known him for years. He was so passionate about everything he spoke about that night. He first talked about his family and his children sharing some funny stories when his boys were younger. We then transitioned to work topics. I left that night excited about the work we were doing and where the future was heading. When he spoke you listened. He said that if I ever needed anything to reach out to him and he'd make it happen. I know he would have. A few years later back in Hartford, I didn't know if he'd remember me, but not only did he, he asked about my family and the work that I was doing. He made you feel special. How lucky was I and many others to have spent just a short time with him. He has left us way too early. My thoughts go out to his beloved family. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Venu I dearly miss my childhood friend, he is the one who first made me comfortable when I was joined the class during 7th standard and form then it was a wonderful 3 yrs friendship and when I got in touch with him again after 28 years he recognised me and showered same warmth and affection...God chooses the best soul to be at heaven... but it is very Tragic for the us to humans to bear the pain of loss for the loved, near and dear especially his wife and kids. My heart felt deepest condolences to them, May the same God usher all the Boons to have strength during this period and also have all the wishes come true that Venu dreamt of for his family and more. A kind and pious soul like him will always protect his near and dear from heaven sitting beside GOD... my friend we will all miss you,

It always took Venu so long to walk the length of the Link at Travelers because he always had a greeting and kind word for anyone he knew, and he knew a lot of people that would be meeting there. I will always miss the smile, handshake, and "Good morning, Miss Jen!"

I’m deeply saddened and in disbelief that Venu has left us so early. Venu’s passion for learning was extraordinary…..his willingness and desire to teach and help others were remarkable…and his genuine kindness and light-hearted spirit were contagious to everyone around him. At work, no matter what the task or challenge was, we always knew that it would get done if Venu was working on it. His intense commitment to his work, his teams, and his coworkers was evident to everyone around him. I’m thankful that I got the chance to know him and work with him and for the lasting impression that he has left on me forever. To his family and friends, I hope that Venu’s love for you and the many fond memories that you have shared with him will help you through this difficult time. He was such an incredibly kind and gentle soul and will be deeply missed.
