The daughter of the late Floyd, Sr. and Vera Nelson Colbert, Ms. Colbert was born in Columbus, GA on July 21, 1940. She was a devout member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served faithfully with the Matrons Ministry. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Floyd Colbert, Jr., John Colbert and Angeline Stone.

Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Shamika "Nikki" Colbert; two loving grandsons, Jalen Jones and Micah Rhodes; two sisters, Jessie M. Arnold and Marcella Smith; a niece and two nephews, Tracy Smith, John Arnold and Albert B. Smith, Jr.; a great niece, Kemya Bailey-Smith; a goddaughter, Chemise Tillman; a host of other relatives and friends to include the Crowell family.
