VerdaJo like most babies slept unless she was hugry,, But she was a good baby, even if there was times when she was real fussy.. It was just 14 days after VerdaJo was born Crystal had her 5th birthday,,, and we gave VerdaJo her first taste of icecream and icing off the cake,,,  Not sure just when her first tooth came in but do know she did get her teeth early,,,  before I knew it she was 9 months and crawling,,

V.J.'s first Christmas was spent in Vacaville at my  AuntSheila house,,  She didnt want anything to do with presents,,, Crystal had opend 1 that had a doll in it,, VJ crawls over to the package and starts chewing on it lololol   We went home later Christmas day,,  And the next day it snowed for the 1 st time in Calif in over 8 yrs ..

VerdaJo 1st year was spent with all kinds of family around,,, and she became the whole family baby,,, The older kids would come home from school and had to come over and check on the baby before they would go out to play..

 The day VerdaJo and I went home is a memory of its own,,,  Granny and her sister and brother had decided to needed to go shopping,,,,, They said VerdaJo needed something to wear home lolol,,  While they are out shopping Papa decides that he aint waiting no longer and he comes to the hospital ,, He  talked to the nurses had diapers and bottle all ready to leave,,  He had grabbed a sleeper from home,, I dressed her and got her wrapped in her blanket,,  As we are heading to the car,, Papa says taking our baby home in style,, He had uncle Jinks barretta lolol 

We got home before Momma Faye and the kids,, Had VerdaJo settled in and sleeping in the basanette,, The kids where up set with me,, I didnt wait and bring her home in her new outfit lol The kids would play and look to make sure the baby was ok,,, If she cried believe I had 2 others hollering Mom the baby!!!

I have decided to begain this with her name,, VerdaJo Faye,, I choice this name after 3 of the most beautifull woman I was lucky to have met, loved and respectfully call my family.. Verda is after an Aunt that  I was  very close to,,,, Jo, after my own mother,, and Faye after her Grandmother,, These 3 woman taught me what being a mother was all about..

 VerdaJo was born May 31 1987, She weighted 5 lbs and 13 ounzes,, a very tiny baby.. I will always remember the first time I held her in my arms,,  She had blue eyes and blonde hair,, she was so beautifull and healthy,, She snuggled up and  I gave her kisses and hugs told her how long I waited for her and I held close,.. 

I remember thinking this one is mine I dont have to share lolol,, I will always remember Granny Faye and Papa Sonny bring Crystal and Rober to see us in the hospital,, We was lucky I had a room across from the nursery,,, Robert Jr was only 3 , he would get a stool take it out to the hall put up against the wall,, he would stand on the stool and look at her,, And every one who walked by he would say  Look at our Baby.. and thats exactly who VerdaJo was she was our baby..
