Aunt Verne was a big influence on my walk with The Lord. She took me to church with her, prayed for me, encouraged me. I always enjoyed going with her when she sung in other churches. I love you Aunt Vernie
you will be missed..

My Mom was one fantastic woman. Me and my brother's Terry and Bennie were raised to respect everyone, we were loved very deeply and passionately. She had the best sense of humor. One day I went to visit her and she was in the kitchen standing some distance from the stove, she had one of her pressure cookers just a jiggling away, I walked to the kitchen door and spoke, well she turned around and ran at me, pushing me and tackled me right over the end of the sofa in the living room, she was laying on top of me!! I asked her, what the heck is wrong with you?? She said she had made a plug for her cooker out of wood and she was waiting for the pressure to build up to see if it would work and I came in just as it really got to going, and she was afraid it would explode so she was protecting her baby girl from getting hurt..she always was there for me through thick and thin and I will miss her all the days of my life.

My Aunt Verna was like my second Mommy. I loved her that way too. She had the biggest old heart, so full of love. She accepted people the way they were, you didn't have to change for her to love you. We were always so close growing up, as time went on, and we were separated by miles, but never in our hearts. I have one more reason to go to heaven for, to see her sweet face and tell her I love her. Forever and always, I love you my Aunt Verna. Heaven's just a little sweeter because you're there.
