Born in Verdun, Canada on October 13, 1920.  The only child of Norman Joseph Fullard and Lillian Gertrude.  They moved to the United States when Verna was young, and it wasn't until she was a teenager that she found out that she was Canadian born.  She was a very precocious and curious child that grew into a beautiful young woman who knew what she wanted.  On Thanksgiving day, in 1942, she was coerced by her friend Pauline to meet a man she was sure she didn't want!  However, by the end of the evening, Napoleon Belmore had won her heart, and her hand.  They were married less than 24 hours after they met by a justice of the peace in a blackout.  Napoleon shipped out the next day, and thus began a 56 year marriage that was something out of a romance novel!  Having been only children, the Belmores had decided early in their marriage that they wanted lots of children, and God didn't disappoint them!  Penny (Ralph),  Michael (Carolyn), Tony (Kim), Terri (Jeff) and Gregory (Brenda) were the light of their lives, and were always a close knit family growing up!  Impatient for grandchildren, they had to wait for a while, but eventually Penny had Vicki, Valerie, Ralph Jr. and Matthew.  Michael added Ray and Renee', Tony added Robert, Tony Jr. and Carley, Terri added Chelsey and Gregory added Joshua.  Great-grandchildren were a long while coming, but came from Renee'(Steven) -Amanda, Lauren and Zachary, Vicki (Tim) -Bethany and Hannah, Valerie (Marc) -Alex, Matthew (Heather)-Madison and Ray-James and Lily.  She lived a charmed life, with so many that adored her!  She will live forever in their hearts, and will always be missed!
