Happy Birthday dad, I love and miss you more than anyone knows. I hope you are up there in heaven catching all the fish.
Vernon L. Dowell, 81 years old, was born on March 16, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio and passed away on August 19, 2021 in Dayton, Ohio. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Catherine Dowell; his caring children, Melissa (Rodney) Kramer and Shirley James; his grandchildren, William Davidson, Charles Alex Byrd, Brittany Steck, and Robert Kramer; his great-grandson, Mister Tee Steck; his sisters, Linda Shaver and Karen Bonham; and his loyal dog, Romo along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and William Dowell; and his siblings, Velva Marie, Charles, Carson, Virginia, Kenneth, and Steve. He will be greatly missed.

2 years ago today, I still burst into tears crying every time I sit down and think of you. I am told that someday I will smile when I think of you but for now it still feels like someone is ripping out my heart. I miss you and love you so much.
