This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Vernon "Shorty" Hartsell, 71, born on October 15, 1923 and passed away on September 16, 1995. He served as a soldier in World War 2 and received a purple heart and honorable discharge during his tour in Germany. He loved fishing, hunting, and riding around out in the country with his best friend Orvil. He was the best Father & Papaw Shorty as well as a wonderful person that would help anyone in need. He had 8 children Patrica, Verna Sue, Linda, David, Ricky, Vickie, Ronnie, & Lynn. He had 18 grandchildren & many great-grandchildren. He is joined in Heaven now by his parents, all his brothers & sisters, his daughter Linda, his great grandson Tristian, his daughter-in-law Pasty, his son-in-law David & his grandson Dj. We loved him so and miss him always.
