Brunswick- Veronica Marie Merrill, 66, formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on December 11, 2008 at her residence on Gleed Drive. She was born in Biddeford, a daughter of Clinton and Elizabeth (Andrews) Leavitt. She married Robert W. Merrill on December 10, 1960 and enjoyed many happy years of marriage before his passing on September 1, 2008. Veronica will be remembered as a loving wife, grandparent and a dear friend to many. She was a member of the Biddeford Eagles Club # 804 and gave much of herself as a foster parent. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by sons, Michael Merrill and Clinton Merrill and her brother, Herman Leavitt. She is survived by her sons, Robert Merrill Jr. and his wife Susan, Stephen Merrill and his wife Amy, Mark Merrill and his partner Kate Lamont; daughters, Veronica Merrill-Wiest and her husband Zac, Shannon Merrill; daughter in-law, Wanda Merrill. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Winn and her husband Edward, Bernice Gillispie of Organ, New Mexico; brother, Albert Leavitt and his wife Ann of Summerfield, FL. Visiting  hours will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, December 15, 2008,  at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, where a funeral will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. The Reverend Philip Shearman will officiate. A private burial will be held in Freeport.
