Lady Victoria Kanawulia Agili was born on 12 July 1952, to Chief T. D. Rapu and Mrs. M. N. Rapu of Umuezei, Asaba Delta State. She attended Holy Child College Ikoyi Lagos and St Gregory’s College Lagos excelling academically. She is a graduate of the University of Ibadan (Bsc. Botany with subsidiaries in Archaeology); University of Leicester (Postgraduate certificate in Museum Studies); and IESE Business School where she obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). 

Vickie Agili’s successful career spanned several decades working at the National Museum and Monuments, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Her dedication to excellence, and unrivalled sense of duty propelled her to the zenith of her career: as the Head of the Information and Human Resources Units at UNDP, and retiring as the Curator of the National Museum Lagos Nigeria. 

She was happily married to the love of her life, Ogbueshi Eng. Ofili Agili and they enjoyed the most loving union, which was a model of devotion and selflessness. Her children, Chuka, Ifeoma and Rotimi were her pride and joy. She dedicated her entire life to the happiness and nurture of her entire family. Grandma’s love and protection knew no bounds, she was physically present for the birth of each and every single one of her grandchildren and spent every available moment doting over Oluwafuntan (Akachukwu), Oluwafikunayomi (Chukwuzamepele) and Oluwafifemayomi (Chiweta) Finnih. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, she is survived by her 5 siblings Dame Bridget Itsueli, Chief Nkechi Chizea, Dr Tony Rapu, Dr Angela Adegboyega and Ms. Marilyn Rapu, including numerous cousins,  in-laws, nieces and nephews. 

Vickie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, friend, and model child of The Almighty. She was a virtuous woman who had a perpetual smile etched on her face to welcome; a regal gait and tone to govern; and the most selfless heart to love. Throughout her life, she exuded the majesty of one who understood her celestial calling ought to be manifested amongst mere mortals on earth – and that she did wholesomely. She lived a godly, vibrant, charitable, life – impacting family, friends and strangers with her warmth, love and generosity. Her love and passion for The Almighty ensured a lifetime of dedicated service to all. May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
