It is difficult to believe that you are no longer with us. Although you are gone, I still wish to believe that you are very much there in the office room at Saradamandiram. You have been so much a part of my growing up days when living together at Saradamandiram, to the time you moved to Trichur. As a young boy of around 8, I distinctly remember the day you bought the Vauxhall car on Muthachan’s request and retained it for several years. I used to be a permanent assistant in that car when yourself and Appanchettan were the drivers. The frequent breakdowns of this car in between trips were all part of an enduring relationship with this automobile which had a registration no BYB 1430. This was our family car during Pappachi’s wedding. I know those days of joint family living would never be possible again, but the bondage and affection for each other which were part of that period still lives within me. Wherever you are Viyyamman, we miss you very much and you are always there in our thoughts.
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Vijaya Kumara Menon, 86, born on February 12, 1929 and passed away on November 6, 2015. We will remember him forever.
