Dear Bro Vincent,
God may have been ready to give you your wings to Heaven, but we were not ready to lose you on Earth. You were a real life an Angel, giving hope, inspiration and love to us and we are touched by your amazing work for the Lord. You may be gone now, but you will always live in our hearts, and your legacy will live on forever. ❤️ till we reunite with you again in Heaven.
"With tears of sorrow we cry each day, in angel's arms you were carried away.
Our memories of love and laughter shall not fade, for inside our hearts you will always stay."

"It's okay dad," I murmured to my terrified father with my hand on his face, as I watch him being pushed hastily into the ambulance by the medics. The engines started, the sirens sounded, and the ambulance departed at full tilt towards the hospital. Little did I know that those would be my last words toward him, and the last good look I'll have of him while he still retained his consciousness.
I'm still collecting my thoughts, trying to comprehend everything that has happened for the past few days. Everything escalated so quickly, and I am still left in utter disbelief. "Daddy, I still have so much to learn from you, so much to ask you, so much I want to do with you," but indeed life is precious, life is unpredictable, and I will cherish every single moment that we've spent together with you.
To the man who puts his family first before himself, to the man who never complains yet continues to sacrifice for the family, to the man who always gives his 110% in serving the Lord, to the man who mentors, lifts up, and encourages without asking for anything in return, to the man who constantly want to entertain us but ends up laughing at his own joke, to the man who's life overflows with love and joyfulness ❤️: You have been the best father anyone could ask for, and I strive to be like you. I promise to take care of the family, and your legacy will continue to live on in our lives.
Our family is so thankful for all the support recieved from family, friends and especially the Church. Indeed this season has shown us how powerful the body of Christ is with unity and prayer ⛪ I would like to sincerely thank everyone who have prayed, fought, cared, and assisted our family in any way in this season of our lives. We are blessed with your showers of love, prayers and comfort, and we are beyond thankful for that.
In the midst of all the noise and confusion, there is one thing that I am confident and sure of: "Daddy, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith. Now there is in store for you the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to you on that day—and not only to you, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Daddy, you are now in a better place, in the presence of our Father in heaven, worshipping and praising the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. No more worries, no more suffering, only exalting and lifting up the name of Jesus. Till we meet again. Love you dad

Thank you Bro Vincent for dancing with me on stage, singing with me and showing me some simple pointers of being brave. A selfless and kind hearted person. Always willing to help. You went too soon, bro. Still many ‘coffee’ talks to go. Will miss you lots.
Well, you are walking in the light of God now.
Till we meet again bro.

Had the privilege to serve Communion with Bro Vincent every first Sunday of the month. We would have breakfast after English service, while awaiting next Communion service for the Mandarin congregation. Always a delightful person to converse with.
Also had the privilege of having him in the Seed class. A well balanced man with good godly insights, sincerity and much love for God, His works and His Word.
In short “A man after the heart of God”.
A man who have never hesitated to answer His call to serve and when he did, he gave nothing short of his all.
That’s Vincent - a faithful servant of God.
Although we are saddened by your sudden demise, we know you have been ushered into the Presence of the Most High, where there’s no more sorrow nor pain.
You will always be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Dear Wendy, Clarisse and Ryan,
No words of comfort will be enough during this time of loss.
I can only pray that you find the Lord’s peace and strength, He’s good, faithful and true.

During our church prayer meeting on Friday night, this verse sets in my heart,
Ephesians 3:16
I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
His comfort and strength be with you and family.

I am very sad and never expected Vincent you leave us so suddenly. Always remember you as good father, humble uncle, kind to everyone. You’ll always remain in my heart. RIP. Will alway miss you.
Uncle Vincent , It is with deepest sorrow and sadness that I write this tribute to you. You were an uncle in a million; my uncle was humble, kind, loving, caring and good at heart and soul.
You’ll always remain in my heart. Rest in peace Uncle. We will definitely miss you

Uncle Vincent,
It is sad to hear of your passing. It has always been a privilege to serve alongside with you in the worship team. I always admire how humble, teachable, and passionate you are in serving.
I always remember you as one of the uncles that takes serving seriously and prepares well each time. You will never hesitate to ask if you are not sure with what to play. I have to apologise to you for having to learn how to play the more "in" and modern songs that requires a lot of arrangements and changes compared to just playing hymns. But hey! It's all about the heart in serving Him, the skills and techniques are secondary. You always managed to play your heart out! :)
You have shown that age is just a number and should never stop anyone from serving cause they are not "young" anymore. (If you know what I mean)
You will be missed and remembered always.
As a father of my friend's
And also as my friend :)

My dearest departed Uncle Vincent. You were the greatest at what you did. A wonderful husband. A loving father. A jovial friend. A humble believer. You will be deeply missed by all of us. The Lord has brought you home. Rest now in Peace. Until we meet again. ❤️
I thought we’d have a lifetime to get to know one another. Though short, I do cherish all the times spent together. You always bloom with the joy of the Lord. I’ll always remember you as a foodie and a cheerful person. Indeed, the fastest way to a person’s heart is through the stomach.
As the head, you and your family have touched so many lives. We organised a prayer with 30 minutes notice supposedly for close friends and family. Who knew?! 120 people and counting joined to pray. You’ve brought the entire body of Christ together.
We may not understand why but we will get through this. Time reveals the Creator at work.
We promise to always keep you alive in our hearts, in our memories and in our conversations.
Rest now. We will see each other again.

My dear Bro Vincent, I'm really shocked and extremely sad that you have left us suddenly. You have brightened my life many times when I had the pleasure of working with you at the Christmas Drama for 2 years as my brother Aaron and also serving with you as a musician at MMC. I will always cherish the great times we spent together rehearsing and all the jokes and laughter we shared together. You have left me in tears. I'm really sad that you will "be quiet" until we meet again. You will never be forgotten. RIP my dear bro.
Uncle Vincent was a man of God through and through. He always put his heart and soul into everything he did for God... He impacted all of our lives positively whether he knew it or not. May God's grace continue to be over you and your family. You will be missed.
We are glad to have been able to serve together with Bro Vincent. He is a helpful, patient and good man with a servant's heart who loves the Lord. We will miss him dearly.

Farewell my friend, a fellow musician and a brother in Christ, Vincent Kam. It's time for you to go. Your friendship was a blessing. And I will miss you so. But you know what? God only takes the best. Everything happens for a reason. We should not question what God has planned. Sometimes it's not meant for us to understand. We are here to celebrate your life and the measure of its worth and every single life you touched while you were on this world. We wish to pay our last respect and that's why we are here and to thank you for your friendship. It's been a privilege to have known you. And we will carry you in spirit until we meet up once again. And now until then, you will always be in our heart.

Brother Vincent will be dearly missed! I have the privilege of serving alongside him and his family, and truly what a great joy it is to know this man and his family. We had many laughs, going through ups and downs during the preparations of Christmas Drama Presentation, and serving together in WACA ministry. Bro Vincent is truly a wonderful man in every way, his attitude, his serving heart, his character, I can never say enough of how he has encouraged me in serving, using his own life as an example. While I don't understand why all this happened, but I shall take comfort in knowing that Bro Vincent is in JESUS' loving arms, watching over us from heaven.
I miss you a lot, Bro Vincent, and you will always be in my heart and memories!

A CHILDHOOD FRIEND
In the mid sixties, some 54 years ago, my late father enrolled me with St.Xavier's Branch School at Jalan Brother James, Pulau Tikus.
Back then, I did not have many friends until I met my fellow classmates from this primary school, many of whom are from Pulau Tikus area. Among my new found friends was a slim, fair and petite boy with a built-in smile and charismatic character.
His name is Kam Keng Leong and we fondly call him Keng Leong.
Our friendship developed quickly along with the others namely Boon Hor @ Lau Hor, Maung Gyi @ Bandit Maung, Boo Beng @ Rojak, Chee Pok Eng, Teoh Seng Poh @ The Boss (deceased) and a handful others, and we became very close friends.
Being young and adventurous, We would regularly hike up Cliff Hill at youth park and spend a whole Saturday morning up there.
A day can hardly pass by without going for bicycle rides to Gurney Drive, Scott rd, Midlands Park and Adventist area and Keng Leong will always be there riding alongside us with his racer bicycle.
We played football at Scott Road field and Brother's College in Kalawei Rd as well as College Square. We quench our thirst by drinking tap water shared from a garden faucet.
During his teenage years, Keng Leong lived with his parents and sisters in a shophouse selling/repairing electrical appliances located opposite the Pulau Tikus police station.
We spent our school holidays and weekends playing badminton on a makeshift court which we improvised on an unused road at Gerbang Midlands. For the record, Keng Leong was one of the best players in our team with the ability to execute very sharp drop shots, hence earning him his nickname sharp.
In the evenings, we used to gather at my neighbour's carpenter workshop @ our Kampung (opposite CPT) along Lebuh Raya Maktab or known as College Avenue during those days.
We sat on piles of wooden planks for jam sessions and sang an endless repertoire of songs from Lobo, Bee Gees to Rod Steward. Freddie Aguila's top hit song Child, Glen Cambell's Rhinestone Cowboy and Freddy Fender's Before the next teardrop can be heard in repetition several times a night but Paul Mc Cartney's "Band On the Run" was our all-time favourite. Keng Leong was musically talented and played the guitar with ease and sings like a pro.
On Tues and Thursday evenings, We would cycle from Pulau Tikus to the Hock Chew Association at Argyll Rd to attend Sao Lim martial art classes. At that point of time, Keng Leong was at a different level in martial arts by being a team member of the Hock Chew Association dragon dance troupe. I can fondly reminisce how we used to treat ourselves to Swatow Lane Ice Kacang while enjoying a few games of billiards & table football while heading home after martial arts practice sessions.
Around 1977, we went seperate ways to pursue our respective careers and lost contact indefinitely until recently.
I managed to reconnect with some of the lads via social media through which I learned about Keng Leong's passing.
The devastating news left me in shock, disbelief and heartbroken.
May these memories of Vincent Kam Keng Leong remain in our hearts forever.
My dear friend Keng Leong. I will always cherish our friendship and till we meet again...Rest In Peace
