Well dad this is your 100 Birthday. A big Happy Birthday! I wish you were here to celebrate with us your four daughters and now mum has joined you. Oh how I miss you and mum so so much. Words will never match my thoughts and love for you. The talks we used to have just between us there seemed to be a quiet understanding between us. You always knew what I was going thru or felt and I seemed to know the same of you as was confirmed in all our conversations. I remember when you and I used to go down fishing below where the salmon were caught just to get away for only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle that was going on at gramma Jakeman’s house. I remembered the day you had set the clematis’s plant the purple Jackmanies on fire. Of course you and I knew it was an accident but it sure did make an exciting visit at gramma & gramps house. We all know that she took pride in all her flowers. Lol. Well I was able to visit your grave twice this past summer my heart was over whelmed with love and tears. I hope you saw the little pkg I place beside your tombstone, I hope you felt in some strang wonder mums presence that I carried to you. Hoping in some small way you would be reunited. Hi dad I've been thinking of you and mom lately more than usual. I'm not sure how to get through some days . The only thing is knowing that you and mom are together again to take care of each other. Just a simple heiio during this holiday season as it begins. I miss you so much. But so glad to share with your grandkids stories you have shared with me during this season. like when you first came to Toronto the first time. The very first Christmas you bought your sisters a pair of stockings for 10 cents and all your brothers a pair of socks for 15 cents
. The family thought you were rich sending these little gifts back home for them just where your heart was and belonged at that time. I am so very proud of you in bestowing those values and memories that you shared with me  and that I can pass on to your great grand children. Remembering my dad on this anniversary day that he was taken from us and lost his battle in health, back in 1985. You have been gone now 32 years and you would have turned 94yrs old this year. Not a day goes by that I don't feel you close in my heart and my memories are still fresh and clear.  I will always wish you were here that will never change as so my love for you. I will always make sure your memories are kept alive through your grandchildren and great grandchildren therefore ensuring you live in our hearts for ever. xo Sheila

I never had the honour of meeting you.
From what I can tell, you were very loved by all that did get to meet you and know you.
Even though we never got the chance in this life to have a relationship, I hope you know that I love you too.
It's been an interesting life without you. I wish you could have stayed around long enough to give me some of your wisdom and guidance. But one day, I know I'll get to finally meet you and see first hand how amazing you are.
